1.More than 50 years of Star Trek
Last year millions Star Trek's fans from around the world celebrated five decades from the first trips through the Universe with the Starship Enterprise, part of the Star Fleet of the United Federation of Planets.
Since then, more than 6 seasons of the show have been broadcast across the world. Here they are:
- Star Trek – the original series (1966-1969) with William Shatner as Captain Kirk
- Star Trek – The Animated Series (1973–1974)
- Star Trek – The Next Generation (1987-1994) with Patrick Stewart as Captain Jean-Luc Picard
- Star Trek – Deep Space Nine (1993-1999) with Avery Brooks as Captain Benjamin Sisko
- Star Trek – Voyager (1995-2001) with Kate Mulgrew as Captain Kathryn Janeway
- Star Trek – Enterprise (2001-2005) with Scott Bakula as Captain Jonathan Archer
- Star Trek Discovery 2017 with Sonequa Martin-Green as Lieutenant Commander Michael Burnham
The universe created by Gene Roddenberry in the 1960s fascinated many people worldwide and it became one of the most famous and profitable science fiction franchises in the world.
"Star Trek" also inspired the invention of countless gadgets like mobile phones, tablet computers, Bluetooth technology or virtual assistants, which were first presented in the show.
