It has been a long, long wait for his return, but Gendry is finally back in "Game of Thrones" Season 7. Could this mean that Robert Baratheon's only surviving child will soon be reunited with his old friend Arya Stark?

Fans have been shipping Gendry and Arya since the two met in the first season. After all, Gendry had defended "Arry" from the other boys who were being recruited for the Night's Watch. Is it possible that the separated friends will see each other again in "Game of Thrones"?

Gendry's awesome comeback in 'Eastwatch'

The fifth episode of the current season of "Game of Thrones" had several awesome scenes, most notably the interesting meeting between Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen's favorite son Drogon.

In addition to that, Jorah Mormont finally made his way to Dragonstone for a brief reunion with Dany before being sent off to the Wall with Jon. However, it looks like it was Gendry that managed to steal the show with a mighty swing of his Warhammer.

Davos Seaworth's trip to King's Landing with Tyrion Lannister led him back to Flea Bottom where he came across Gendry working in a forge. It was no surprise that the only surviving Baratheon bastard was eager to join Davos back to Dragonstone where he finally met Jon Snow. By the end of "Eastwatch," the two were already teaming up to catch a wight. But, will Jon bring Gendry back to Winterfell for a highly anticipated reunion with Arya?

Will Gendry reunite with Arya in Winterfell?

Fans have been hoping Gendry will eventually meet Arya Stark before the series concludes. After all, the two had a wonderful friendship that has people believing they would make a great couple. Gendry enjoyed calling Arya "milady," something that fans thought could hint at a possible romantic relationship.

Although it is unlikely that the free-spirited Arya would want to settle down with anyone at all, a reunion with Gendry would still be something to look forward to in the next episode. It would be interesting to see how different their meeting will be compared to her encounter with Hot Pie in "Stormborn." Hopefully, it will happen if Gendry manages to survive the fight against the White Walkers next Sunday.

The teaser for the upcoming episode shows that Jon Snow's assembled men, which also includes The Hound, Beric Dondarrion and Thoros of Myr, are preparing to fight hundreds of wights. Hopefully, Gendry will be one of the survivors who will bring back a live wight to present to Cersei Lannister.
