"Overwatch" keeps releasing amazing updates and Blizzard recently celebrated the one-year anniversary of this popular video game. During the Anniversary event, which ended just a few days ago, players were treated to a lot of new items in Anniversary loot boxes. To top it all off, Blizzard went out with a bang by giving players a double XP event which helped them level up faster and earn those valuable loot boxes.

However, aside from the Anniversary event, Blizzard has just dropped another juicy surprise which is sure to send fans over the moon!

They recently released a new Game Mode in "Overwatch" arcade. This new mode includes 12 players, and is much different from a quick game or competitive play, as there are no special objectives. The goal in this mode is very simple: Teams have to work together to eliminate the opposing team and win a round, as well as a match.

6v6 Lockout Elimination

The new mode is called 6v6 Lockout Elimination and it's basically just a bigger 3v3 Lockout Elimination mode. The 3v3 mode was first introduced during the Anniversary event and it became very popular. The new mode includes 12 instead of six players and it's much more intense.

Basically, players get to pick any hero they want in the first round. However, after the round is over, they are not able to pick that hero or any other hero their teammates used.

Just like in regular game modes, there are a few different maps that players randomly get, and they are much smaller than the maps that are used in regular modes.

Considering that the players have to choose a new hero every round, it is difficult to win a few games in a row, unless everyone is really good with the new heroes they pick.

It's also important to note that players are not limited only to the heroes who can do damage as they can pick support heroes as well. Just like in the regular modes, it is very important to have a good team composition in order to increase the chance of beating the opposing team.

For their first win of the day in this mode, players will receive one loot box.

Positive feedback

So far, "Overwatch" players are in love with the new game mode and Blizzard has received a lot of positive feedback for it. Players are finally able to play a 6v6 mode that excludes objectives, and that is something that the game definitely needed.

It is unknown how long 6v6 Lockout Elimination will be available in arcade mode, but considering how much players love it, we can expect it to stay there for a long time. If you haven't tried this mode yet, you should definitely do so as soon as possible. Also, make sure you let us know how you like it!
