Dog The Bounty Hunter's wife, Beth Chapman, has been diagnosed with Stage 2 throat cancer. Beth, according to Radar Online reports, will be undergoing emergency surgery to remove a dangerous throat tumor that is blocking her windpipe. Beth Chapman revealed her sad cancer diagnosis in a letter which said that she received the news from her doctors two weeks ago.

Beth Chapman cancer found during routine checkup

She goes on to tell friends and fans that the throat cancer was discovered during a routine medical checkup. Beth states that she had been experiencing a persistent cough and decided to have it checked out.

The news she received she reveals was very shocking and unexpected.

“I have, what is referred to as, a T2 tumor in my throat that is blocking my breathing. My doctors are suggesting immediate treatment and surgery before the disease progresses" the letter states.

Beth Chapman, 49, said she’s holding on to hope and faith. Dog's wife is described as brave and keeping a positive attitude. Following the throat surgery to remove the tumor, Beth will be undergoing a series of treatments that will include radiation and chemo.

A close friend of the Chapman family spoke with Hawaii News, revealing that following the diagnosis Duane was "inconsolable" for several days. But has, now, accepted the news and is ready to stand by Beth every step of the way offering his full support.

Beth's treatment regimen will be determined following the surgery. Chapman is determined to fight cancer all the way. Beth also thanked her family and friends that have been by her side the past couple of weeks for all the support and encouragement during this difficult time. Beth's husband Duane "Dog" Chapman, 64, took to Facebook confirming the news, also thanked everyone for their prayers and love.

Beth Chapman is best known for starring alongside her husband on their A&E reality series "Dog the Bounty Hunter" which ran for eight seasons between 2004-2012. Following the cancellation of "Dog, the Bounty Hunter," Duane and Beth starred in a second reality show "Dog and Beth." The reality series featured the husband and wife team, Duane and Beth, and Duane's son, Leland, seeking out failing bail bond agencies over the United States giving them advice on how to turn their businesses around.

They, also, assist in the capture of the bail bonds companies most wanted fugitives for a hefty paycheck.

In 2017, Beth Chapman is not the only celebrity that has been diagnosed with cancer. Larry King recently revealed having 20% of his lung removed over the summer after being diagnosed with small cell lung cancer. Other well-known celebs with battling cancer include Val Kilmer, Michael Douglas, and Ryan O'Neal.
