Gal Gadot wowed the world earlier this year with her role as Wonder Woman. And as it turns out, she's not done yet. The 2017 Comic Con took place this past weekend in San Diego. Gadot appeared alongside other 'Justice League' actors, on a panel where many exciting things were announced. What else could you expect when you have a stage occupied by Gal Gadot, Ben Affleck, and Ezra Miller?

Announcements by Warner Bros. Pictures and DC Comics

Warner Bros. Pictures and DC Comics wowed fans with all their upcoming movie plans. They announced that they would be making a 'Wonder Woman' sequel, following the success of "Wonder Woman," released earlier this year.

They also announced that they would be making an entire movie dedicated solely to Batgirl, as well as a "Suicide Squad" sequel. Also present were actors such as Ben Affleck (Batman) and Jason Mamoa (Aquaman). These actors were there to present the trailer for the "Justice League" movie, coming out in November of this year. Check out the trailer.

A resounding success

The movie was released in June 2017 and was a resounding success. It follows the well-known story of Diana, Princess of the Amazons and a trained warrior. In the 2017 film, Diana rescues a pilot that washes up on her island. She then accompanies him back to the world of World War 2, where she helps defeat Nazi Germany and realizes her true destiny as a super hero.

Wonder Woman is played by Gal Gadot, an Israeli actress, and model. When asked about her role as the super hero she said, "I think that it’s so important that we also have strong female figures to look up to, and Wonder Woman is an amazing one." She acts alongside the charming Chris Pine and other names like Robin Wright and Ewen Bremner.

The movie has grossed more than $770 million worldwide and is expected to be the summer's top grossing movie, surpassing even Marvel's, "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2". It is thus no surprise that a sequel has been announced.

No release date has yet been published for this sequel. Female director, Patty Jenkins has also not yet had her place secured for directing the sequel.

She has however already started pitching ideas for the sequel. And considering that she became the female director with the biggest opening weekend, for "Wonder Woman's" first weekend on the circuit, there is little doubt that she will be chosen again.

All we know is that another "Wonder Woman" with Gal Gadot is something that we will be adding to our calendars for sure.
