“Teen Mom 2” star, Leah Messer, 26, relayed news that her daughter Adalynn (“Addie”), who was hospitalized on March 14, has mono. US Weekly published an exclusive report on March 23, stating that Addie, six, is “improving daily.” Though Addie is “forced to rest,” she has not lost “her amazing zest for life.”
When Addie was in the hospital, she had an infection, according to In Touch Weekly.
Jeremy Calvert, her father, was at her side. He shared a photo on his Instagram account, which he captioned, “I hope my baby girl starts feeling better.”
MTV star’s daughter went to ER, now on antibiotics
Leah took her youngest daughter to the ER after noticing that Addie’s face was “swollen” and she had pain, US Weekly pointed out. Her lymph nodes were actually swollen, AceShowbiz reported. In updating fans, Leah stated that Addie has been “getting much better.” She has been taking antibiotics since her hospitalization.
Fans and social media followers share well-wishes
Leah attributed Addie’s positive outlook to helping in improving her health.
She stated that her daughter “never lost her spirit,” AceShowBiz relayed in a March 21 update about MTV’s “Teen Mom 2” stars. Fans and social media followers have penned well-wishes for the duo ever since Leah posted a photo on Instagram of Addie in the hospital, sharing that Addie was making “everyone laugh in the ER.” Janelle Evans also posted some cute photos.
Disapproval expressed for ‘attention seeking’
Instagram follower @lesliespics commented, “Love watching Addie on the show. That child is hilarious!!!!” Another follower wrote, “Praying for her she is one heck of a beautiful and strong girl!!” Some social media users indicated disapproval, however, toward Leah sharing a photo of Addie in the ER without also stating her condition.
Posting the photo amounted to “attention seeking,” according to follower @sw0378.
Leah has been keeping fans and followers updated. On Instagram Live, the reality star relayed an ER doctor’s impression of Addie, indicating that “she has such a personality.” US Weekly reported.
Relationship break-up reported same day
News of Addie’s illness broke the same day that it was reported Leah and Jason Jordan, her boyfriend, parted ways, according to Pop Culture and Hollywood Life. The former couple’s most recent breakup is their second split. The first time they went their own way resulted in “reuniting around the holidays.”
After the couple reportedly broke up, Leah shared with her Instagram followers, “Everything happens for a reason,” Pop Culture noted.
She further stated, “Some things are just not meant to be and that’s ok.” While many people offered supportive comments, Instagram follower @weeklytrends2018 stated, “Just stop introducing your kids to your men,” adding that Leah “can be a woman an a mother separately.” Another user, kandrews82, remarked, “He wasn’t with Leah for the right reasons.”
Leah, 26, made her MTV debut on “16 & Pregnant.” She and Corey Simms, her second ex-husband, share twin daughters, Aleeah Grace and Aliannah Hope, who are nine. Her ex-husband Jeremy Calvert is, as mentioned previously, Addie’s father. “Teen Mom 2” is broadcast on MTV at 9 PM ET each Monday.
