"90 Day Fiance" couple, Jay Smith and Ashey Martson, brought controversy and accusations of fraud during season 6 of the TLC show. Nevertheless, they continue to garner fans who stand loyally by the couple. In fact, a recent post on Instagram by Jay Smith reveals a lot of goodwill exists ahead of "90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After?" The Reality TV spinoff arrives on our screens in spring this year.
Ashley Martson and Jay accused of fraud by angry fans
During the "90 Day Fiance" season, the spin by TLC on the couple ended up with Ashley saying the producers made them pretend to split up.
Incensed fans slammed them for faking their split, and accused them of fraud for raising money on GoFundMe. It all came out of the wash that they never split. Facing huge backlash from the fans, Ashley struggled with trolling on her Instagram. Recently, fans heard that TLC showed the couple returning to the spinoff, "90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After?" The TLC show that arrives this spring so far revealed on Facebook that Ashley and Jay join Elizabeth Potthast, Andrei Castravet, Nicole Nafziger and Azan Tefou.
Of course, critical fans grew angry with Ashley and Jay and many of them say they don't want them back at all. Mind you, in the wake of the Colt Johnson and Larissa Dos Santos Lima arrest scandal, much of that anger diverted to their going's on.
In the meantime, loyal and faithful fans stayed with Jay and Ashley, and Jay's fans stand by him to this day. In fact, many of them admire him as he stays by the side of Ashley even through her bouts with Lupus.
Fans of '90 Day Fiance' react to Jay Smith's recent Instagram post
In a post on his Instagram on March 27, Jay shared a nice picture of the couple.
With both of them wearing flowers in their hair, and Ashley looking well, they looked quite adorable. In fact, fans were not slow in commenting on how cute the couple looks. Jay captioned it with "Keep on shining and doing what you do best and just always remember how much I love ❤️ you and how I appreciate you making me into a better person."
Here's what some loyal "90 Day Fiance" fans of Jay Smith and Ashley Martson said about it:
- @Eli**: "Such a cute couple."
- @Lif**: " Aww. You both are amazing people! Love you guys ❤️❤️."
- @Stu**: "Happy for the two of you ❤️."
- @Nvd**: "you still handsome love y’all @ashleye_90enjoy stay strong ."
- @Iam**: "@jay_smith_ja Well said, I just love to see people happy. You both keep loving each other."
Ahead of '90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After?' fans still enjoy the couple
As you can see from those types of comments above, some followers of the TLC show still enjoy the couple.
In fact, many of them blame TLC for handling their scenes poorly. These fans love the idea that they get another shot at seeing them in the "Happily Ever After?" spin-off.
As Matt Roloff of "Little people Big World" said this week on the "First Class Fatherhood" podcast, most people are really nice at heart. The trolls only account for a small percentage on social media. In fact, they relegate those trolls to the title of "one percenters." It looks like this holds true for Ashley and Jay as well.
