Jenelle Evans is having a really rough month and after the last few days, it's only gotten worse. She's already been fired from Blue Apron after her critics complained about the "Teen Mom 2" star representing the brand. Just days later, Jenelle and David started another round of drama when they went target practice shooting on Valentine's Day, then posted pictures of Jenelle handling an AR-15 on the same day of the school shooting in Parkland, Florida.
Now, things are even worse for the "Teen Mom" couple. So bad that fans of the MTV hit are calling for them both to be fired. In the wake of harsh criticism for a shocking homophobic rant by David on Monday (Feb. 19), both David Eason and Jenelle Evans have disappeared on Twitter.
Backlash over David's rant
David Eason's homophobic rant definitely brought some unwanted attention. After many "Teen Mom 2" stars found out what David said on Twitter, they began calling him out and wishing for MTV to finally fire David and Jenelle for being too offensive.
"Teen Mom 2" stars led the way with Kail Lowry, Leah Messer, and Jeremy Calvert calling for MTV to do something about David.
"Love & Hip Hop Hollywood" star Moniece Slaughter also got in on the action. After going off on David and Jenelle, she also questioned how they would be allowed to be openly homophobic and not do anything about it.
A petition has been put together and "Teen Mom 2" fans are voicing their concerns to the network in that way. It's really looking like David and Jenelle have gone too far this time. It's quite possible that MTV will do something about their behavior this time around.
Twitter deactivated
There were, and still are, a lot of people outraged on Twitter about David Eason's recent behavior. After what seems like intentional pot-stirring, David must have realized how much drama he had caused.
Soon after many began calling for him to be fired, David changed up his Twitter bio.
Previously it said, "I came to pop all the balloons at your party." This was in reference to allegations that he had a knife and was popping balloons with it on set at the "Teen Mom" New Year's party that was taped back in October. On Monday, the bio was changed to say, "Is this the real David Eason?"
If that was an attempt to make people question if the account was real, it didn't work. After all, David's relatively new Twitter account was followed by Jenelle Evans and Briana DeJesus. The account went private after the gun drama but many who followed David already were able to see what was going on.
Now it looks like both David Eason and Jenelle Evans have disappeared from Twitter altogether They still have other social media accounts, though, so we'll definitely hear from them again.
In the meantime, "Teen Mom 2" fans are wondering what their absence from Twitter really means.
Are David and Jenelle trying to do damage control? Has MTV even contacted them yet about the drama? Will they be fired from "Teen Mom 2?" These are all questions that fans of the show have been asking. Now we just wait to see what the network says about the controversial couple and the huge drama David caused within just a few weeks of joining Twitter.
