The waiting game is almost over for "The Walking Dead" season 8, but numerous predictions about what can possibly be in store for the mega-popular series have continued in the internet feeds.

Season 7 was a total wrap and tons of unexpected events took place during the last-minute scene of the finale. Not long after the audience had bid farewell to the seventh season, earlier predictions suggested that Rick (Andrew Lincoln) will have a difficult time dealing with Negan (Joseph Dean Morgan) in Season 8 as he comes back more prepared for the most awaited "all out war."

The villainous character met his defeat when Rick and other kingdoms gathered together as one against the Saviors.

While there's a long way to go before hitting the latter of the entire season, many believe that "The Walking Dead" season 8 might be just like the other seasons or could a be lot worse.

Here's why season 8 could be an end-game for some characters

In the preceding seasons, the killings and unwanted deaths of some well-loved characters came after Negan's appearance. While anticipating a bloodbath season is not a usual thing for the viewers, the much-talked about "all out war" in season 8 might lead to more terrifying deaths of some characters.

Sasha Williams (Sonequa Martin-Green), who happens to be one of Rick's closest allies, met her demise last season after she was held hostage by the Saviors.

Before Sasha's death, some original characters from the first few seasons were also killed, including Glen (Steven Yeun) Rhee, who is also one of the viewers' favorites.

It may be too early to assume that even the protagonist can possibly meet his downfall in season 8, "The Walking Dead" creators are way more capable of twisting the plots from one side to another, so deaths and survivals in the upcoming installment can also be limitless.

'We've already won'

In the recently released trailer video, Rick Grimes was seen doing a motivational speech as they prepare to hit the war zone. According to Digital Spy, the leader declares victory over Negan and the Saviors. Furthermore, it seems like Rick is pretty confident that they will win again this time around, saying, "The world is ours.

With everything we've beat. Everything we've become. No matter what comes next, we've already won."

Rick's alliance with Hilltop and the Kingdom seems to be a huge factor of his self-esteem, but it's not going to be as easy as declaring victory the moment his team hits the battleground. On the other hand, while Rick and the rest of his allies prepare for war, Negan won't definitely sit idly and watch his opponents eliminate the Saviors.
