"The Originals" season 5 is not done with crossover characters yet. The mega-popular series has taken a spot in the social media feed once again, following predictions hinting at another character. A report from Just Jared Jr claimed that a character named Landon will be introduced when the series returns next year.

The CW has yet to confirm the latest theory, but, it has been speculated that the mystery guy could be Matt Donovan (Zach Roerig). Is this true? The description sounds alike to the traits of the Vampire Diaries alum.

While this remains nothing but speculation until the series creators give the green light, inviting an old character from The Original series doesn't sound surprising at all as Caroline Forbes (Candice King) and Alaric Saltzman (Matthew Davis) are already part of the upcoming installment.

Is Landon going to be an ally or an enemy?

It is not known as to who will play Landon in "The Originals" season 5, but, the new report teases a few glimpses of his qualities, describing him as someone who is "thoughtful" and "romantic." Aside from learning sneak peek information about this puzzling character, Landon's definite role in the story seems to be a huge topic as well.

The show-runners have yet to announce the exact premiere of the series, so, the audiences might also have to wait if the complete details about this newly added character will be revealed before the series officially airs. It's fuzzy as to whether or not Landon is going to side with the original family, but, from the looks of the recent theories, it seems as though the character has been invited for a purpose.

"The Originals" season 4 was a total wrap with The Hollow's menacing plans being dumped by the Mikaelson family. However, a number of new characters will be participating in the final season, which includes Landon, and it is still unsure if these characters would become allies or enemies. With that, the possibilities of getting another roller-coaster events in the new season are more likely to take place.

"The Originals" Season 5 is going to be its last, so, the series creators and The CW will surely make a blast and satisfying plots for the audiences. In the middle of whispers and rumors about the final season, everything will be under wraps until the hit series returns sometime in 2018.
