AsThe Walking Dead” Season 8 is about to start, its cast members are now busy promoting the television show’s return and having interviews here and there. One of the stars, Melissa McBride, best known for her role as Carol, talked about the coming season and what in store for the fans to see.

Also, Austin Amelio, who plays the character of Dwight, revealed what would be the definition of the “All Out War” theme really is. As the incoming installment will be the big battle between Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), this must be the most grueling chapter the series has to offer.

Dwight will be caught up between two parties

"The 'all-out war' kind of says it,” Austin Amelio told TV Guide.

The 29-year-old star revealed that “The Walking Dead” Season 8 is the most “physically and emotionally demanding” chapter that they have ever done. As Dwight will be caught between the two groups, the Saviors and Rick’s team, it will mean a lot of running for the character.

In fact, he teased that it is just not simply running but sprinting as he has to run over and over again. Dashing itself would be simply exhausting for Amelio, and as it will be also added to a lot of drama, it will definitely end up to be pretty intense.

Carol accepting the challenge to face Negan

On the other hand, Melissa McBride also talked about “The Walking Dead” Season 8’s “All Out War” theme.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, the 52-year-old actress said that they are now ready for the incoming battle. “We’re ready for war,” she said. She explained that she is now happier where her character now is compared to the previous season. In fact, she said that Carol is now in a “very different place” than before.

“I’m happy to get her out of the cabin and into the fold of something moving forward,” she told EW. She went on to say that the upcoming installment will be action-packed, physically demanding, and full of suspense.

Just like the others, McBride unveiled that Carol is ready to fight off Negan. With their current situation and learning what happened to Glenn (Steven Yeun) and Abraham (Michael Cudlitz), she is much ready to avenge her friends.

As Negan is a big threat to them, she now accepts what they have to do to continue living freely and to be able to survive. McBride believed that her role is working things out to understand that they didn’t have a choice but to go to a big battle so that they could move forward.

“The Walking Dead” Season 8 is set to be released on October 22 on AMC.
