“Supergirl” season 3 will show an episode this week about fathers. On Earth, Maggie Sawyer (Floriana Lima) will have an encounter with her father while J’onzz (David Harewood) has a reunion with his Martian father on Mars.
It can be recalled that in the previous season, lead characters Kara Danvers (Melissa Benoist) and Alex Danvers (Chyler Leigh) finally got the chance to meet their father.
Rhe reason why Maggie’s father appeared is unknown, but it is probably because of the upcoming wedding of the Sanver's couple. J’onzz, on the other hand, will go on a trip to Mars to confirm the potential return of his father.
Maggie's father
According to Fan Sided, Eliza Danvers (Helen Slater) has decided to throw a shower party for Maggie and Alex. Sawyer will be motivated to reach out to her parents. While she did not have a good background with her parents, it seems like her father is set to attend the shower party. In the previous season, it was revealed that Maggie was kicked out of their house after her parents found out she was a lesbian.
It was earlier reported that Floriana Lima will be a guest star after being a series regular. She has apparently decided to pursue other horizons, therefore, some other opportunities are waiting for her in the future. Aside from the wedding, the chances are high that the appearance of Maggie’s father might have something to do with her leaving National City. Guest actor Carlos Bernard will be the one to portray the role of Maggie’s father.
The last green Martian
The upcoming episode will see J’onzz, going off to Mars to see his father. M’gann (Sharon Leal) sent him a telepathic message to come back to his home planet and he immediately decided to go despite Alex and Supergirl’s opposition. Kara Danvers ended up going with him and this is going to be the first time that the Kryptonian superhero will see Mars in the present day.

J’onzz proclaimed himself as the last green Martian, but it does not seem so. His race has not been The CW series’ focus in awhile, and it seems like viewers will see more of the green Martian history in the episode. We will also see how J’onzz will react knowing that he is no longer the last one of the green Martian race.
Viewers will soon find out whether Supergirl’s power in Mars works or not. The planet is quite far from the yellow sun. Let’s just hope that supervillains won’t appear if she is powerless on Mars. “Supergirl” Season, Episode 3 entitled “Far from the three” will air on October 23.
