Big things are happening in "Star Wars Rebels" Season 4. After all, the final season is already leading the animated series to the events that happened in "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" and eventually, "A New Hope". Could this mean that Saw Gerrera's destiny will finally become clear before the show's conclusion? Fans believe that the tragedy that made Saw flee to Jedha will be featured in the season finale.

Saw Gerrera has been an important character in the fight against the Empire for a long time. He has appeared in "Clone Wars" before showing up in "Star Wars Rebels." An older Saw, portrayed by Forest Whitaker, also played a small but significant role in "Rogue One." Sadly, the film also featured his depressing demise along with the other residents of Jedha.

Nevertheless, there is a chance fans will see more of the Rebel fighter in the fourth season of "Rebels."

What happened to Saw Gerrera?

In "Rogue One," Saw clearly appeared different from his younger self. Forest Whitaker's take on the beloved character was covered in a heavy armor that also appeared to be helping him breathe. Naturally, fans wondered what had happened to him between saving Jyn Erso and hiding out in Jedha. Is it possible that the Empire caught up to Saw and forced him to live in isolation?

There are speculations that Saw's injuries might be caused by an old friend who has now turned to the Dark Side. Some believe that he will be reunited with Anakin Skywalker, who is now known as Darth Vader.

There is a possibility that Saw will face the Sith Lord and will be defeated in the final season of "Star Wars Rebels."

Saw's fate might already be clear but the end of "Rebels" is still a mystery. Luckily, Dave Filoni teases that there is hope for the Ghost crew in the final season.

Will the Ghost crew survive?

People are already concerned that Ezra Bridger and his friends could be in trouble by the end of "Rebels," and Dave Filoni is quick to agree.

"Are they doomed to destruction, as many people seem bent on these days?" the showrunner wondered as he spoke to Comicbook. Although Filoni pointed out that the conclusion might be "a bleak thing for our heroes, he also teased that "they don't really know yet which way it's going to go." Hopefully, this means that the crew of Ghost will live long after the events in the fourth season.

"Star Wars Rebels" Season 4 is currently airing on Disney XD. The fifth episode, which is titled "The Occupation," is scheduled to premiere on October 30.
