Rick and Morty season 3 finale aired on Sunday, October 2. The episode essentially took place within the four walls of the White House. The show’s creators, Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland decided to take advantage of the occasion. According to Polygon, “Rick and Morty” season 3 was the most-watched season in Adult Swim's history. The last segment of this year’s “Rick and Morty” was packed with at least seven different types of conspiracy theories.

Apollo 11 moon lander

Many global citizens believe that the United States faked the Apollo 11 moon landing for political victory.

In the last episode of “Rick and Morty” season 3, a replica of the Apollo 11 moon lander is seen being buried beneath the White House. This is a direct reference to that theory.

Aliens exist

No solid or official evidence suggests that there is life outside of Earth. However, many theories claim that aliens do exist and the US government are already in contact with them. A reference to this is made in “Rick and Morty.”

9/11

There is a small population of strong believers that feel that 9/11 was actually organized by George W. Bush and Dick Cheney. A clear reference is made to this particular theory in “Rick and Morty” season 3’s first episode. Rick is shown to be recollecting memories of when he witnesses news about 9/11 taking place.

His immediate response is to state, “They’re going to use this to take away our freedoms.”

The title itself

Show's season 3 finale was titled, “The Rickchurian Mortydate.” The title itself is a direct rip-off of the Manchurian Candidate conspiracy. In an interview with VICE, creator Harmon talks about how he feels that chemicals in one’s brains automatically connect when one needs to write a story.

He pretty much seemed to have applied the same mechanics in the last episode as well.

Freemasons and US

Conspiracy theorist, Mark S. Watson believes in the “Occult Government.” In other words, he thinks that the Freemasons still dominate the United States. The group has apparently collaborated with the White House and are setting rules for the citizens of United States.

Tupac Shakur

Tupac fans feel that CIA was responsible for the rap icon’s death. A subtle reference to this is made in the last episode. It is being suggested that Tupac is buried beneath the floorboards of the White House. Several of his fans in the world think that Tupac is still alive and well somewhere on the planet.
