We have not seen Charlotte Richards since mom left her body in the season 2 finale of “Lucifer.” Fox initially hinted at her return in the trailer for episode 2 of season 3, titled “The One With The Baby Carrot.” However, she was not in the episode, nor was there any mention of her. However, Charlotte will make her comeback soon, and exciting things will happen with her return, especially where it concerns Lucifer.

Charlotte returns

The real Charlotte Richards will appear in Episode 4 of “Lucifer” season 3, which is aptly called “Welcome Back, Charlotte Richards.” The episode is directed by Nathan Hope and written by Chris Rafferty, who also wrote two episodes in season 2 that Charlotte was in, namely “Monster” and “A Good Day To Die.” The title does not give out spoilers about what happens when Charlotte returns.

However, it is likely that she turns to Lucifer Morningstar first for some answers.

Charlotte visits Lucifer at Lux

The trailer for episode 2 gave a glimpse at Charlotte Richards inside a dark room with a wine glass in her hand. Looking at the ambient lighting inside, it is safe to assume that she is at Lux. But what is she doing at Lucifer Morningstar’s nightclub?

Tricia Helfer, who plays Charlotte, previously said in an interview that her character would want to get some answers first when she returns.

She feels like she missed a part of her life when mom invaded her body. She wants to know what happened to her. It is likely that she approaches Lucifer for answers since he was the first person she talked to when she woke up at the beach after his mom left her body.

Likewise, Helfer hinted that a part of the real Charlotte somehow remembers Lucifer Morningstar (Tom Ellis).

She sees the devil and she feels a sense of familiarity. Of course, this realization intrigues and confuses her at the same time. However, the only way to find out more about her connection to Lucifer is to talk to him face-to-face.

Episode 4 synopsis

Then again, according to the synopsis for episode 4, Lucifer and Charlotte come face-to-face again during a routine criminal investigation.

Chloe and her partner investigate the death of a food chemist and are in for a surprise when they see that Charlotte is the defense attorney. According to the synopsis from Cartermatt, everyone is caught off guard when they see her back at the Los Angeles Police Department. Cleary, her presence at the precinct also surprises Dan.
