What happens when the most intelligent scientist turns into a pickle? Well, it seems probably a series of "Die Hard" references and a family therapy.
Warning! If you have not seen the latest episode of “Rick and Morty” Season 3 yet, you might end up dealing with multiple spoilers. So, brace yourself as we give you the latest updates about the hit animated show from Adult Swim, Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon.
‘Rick and Morty' spoilers unveiled
“You (Rick) are the master of your universe and yet you are dripping with rat blood and feces." That is probably a good way to end an episode of the TV Series from Adult Swim. It is no surprise that these "Die Hard" references would be present in some episodes of this animated sci-fi sitcom as Dan Harmon has been a “Die-Dard” fan of the film.
The “Pickle Rick” episode did impress its avid viewers by actually maintaining a plot in spite of having a scientist, in a form of a pickle, during the whole episode. It was then concluded by Dr. Wong’s (therapist) understanding and overview of Rick’s family that actually led them to awkwardly express their thoughts and get on with it.
A review of this episode came out good as it was then considered to be a “clever” way of pursuing a concept that is “too stupid”. Nonetheless, it was a great 23-minute run of pickle action.
Roiland and Harmon on a feud?
Before the season premiered, fans were a little worried that the animated show might not return for another season as there have been rumors that the creators Harmon and Roiland are rehashing over an unsolvable feud.
The rumors were then cleared by Harmon, using Twitter, to explain what is going on behind the delay of season 3 stating that “The reason S3 took long is that it took longer to write because it was S3 of a show that we were scared to make worse than S2 or S1.” And in another tweet, he added “It's a common yet odd phenomenon.
Tail-chasing, perfectionism, overthinking? One prob is that any description you pick for it.”
It seems like the internet is now full of rumors rather than facts but it is great to know that our worries over all of this did not turn out to be true. Either way, the show’s fans were anticipating the new season and the answers are absolutely satisfying.
There is always some room for improvement for these two creators and we bet they have already generated useful ideas for the next episodes of “Rick and Morty” Season 3. Maybe another movie reference? Whatever it is, we want more.
