Bookworms and fans alike are still waiting for the release of George R.R. Martin’s sixth book installment, “The Winds Of Winter,” from “A Song of Ice and Fire” novel series. It has been nearly six years since “A Dance with Dragons” has unveiled and its avid readers are now questioning if when the book will launch.

However, the 68-year-old novelist continuously gives his readers a glimpse and small teasers by sharing some sample chapters of the book on his website.

This includes the characters points of views that the novel is known for.

Possible viewpoint characters

Now, fans are now anticipating whose points of views Martin is going to feature in “The Winds of Winter.” As the novel series’ television adaptation “Game of Thrones” is now in its seventh season, it looks like its previous chapter gave its followers a couple of ideas of what will happen in the upcoming book installment.

According to Winter is Coming, Theon Greyjoy’s story will continue exactly where it left off in “A Dance with Dragons.” In fact, his sample chapter has been revealed by the short-story writer himself way back in December 2011.

Martin also read some excerpts of Aeron Greyjoy, titled “The Forsaken,” and Victarion Greyjoy’s, whose cut from the show, stories at different fan conventions. An eagle-eyed fan, too, saw the author writing about Asha Greyjoy when he took a photo of himself while sitting in front of a computer.

The Stark sisters, Arya AKA Mercy and Sansa AKA Alayne’s sample chapters are also archived online. Martin teased Another sibling Tyrion Lannister and Cersei Lannister's points of view.

Fans can read two chapters of Tyrion’s narration available on the mobile app of “World of Ice and Fire” while Cersei’s chapter has been written before he flown to Barcelona in 2016.

Arianne Martell might be dead in the television series, but her narrative will still be seen in the novel.

There are also two chapters of Barristan “The Bold” Selmy’s points of view in the much-awaited next novel. Martin, too, teased on his blog that the fiercely loyal bodyguard of Prince Doran Martel’s, Areo Hotah, perspective will continue.

Lastly, the novelist revealed at the Guadalajara International Book Fair in 2016 that Melisandre is a viewpoint character and might tell something about her time in Asshai. Although the city is not set to reveal in the coming novel, Martin said that the Red Woman is from that place.

Total of narrations in the book

Other characters that might have their voice in “The Winds of Winter” are Bran Stark, Daenerys Targaryen, Davos Seaworth and Jon Connington. Also, Jaime Lannister, Brienne of Tarth, Samwell Tarly, and, of course, Jon Snow.

In total, there are about 20 viewpoint characters in the upcoming novel compared to its predecessors. “A Dance of Dragons” used to have the highest narration with 18 counts while “A Game of Thrones” has nine. The book series also has a prolog chapter that is being narrated by the character who died. All in all, there might be 21 points of view narration.
