"Dancing with the Stars" had another shocking elimination on Monday night, May 15 during the semi-finals. Viewers are encouraged to vote for their favorites. Apparently, the votes did not come in Simone Biles. For the last few weeks, some good dancers have gone home on the night they got perfect scores.
Simone Biles, who had been a front runner all season, was eliminated while David Ross goes to the finals.
Some voters may not have voted for her last week before of the remark she made toward judge Carrie Ann Inaba. A lot of viewers took to social media and said the gold medalist was rude.
Simone didn't appear to be hurt because of her elimination after getting a perfect score for her jive and rumba. She said the show helped her to mature. Her partner Sasha Farber leaves his fiancée Emma Slater behind to dance with Rashad Jennings in the finals.
The finals
David Ross and partner Lindsay Arnold are going to the finals along with two other couples. They are Normani Kordei and partner Val Chmerkovskiy and Rashad Jennings with partner Emma Slater.
One of those three couples will win the Mirror Ball trophy and become the champions for Season 24. Who will it be?
David Ross
It seems like David Ross got the votes he needed to stay in the competition, but he has not gotten high judges' score all seasons. If Ross becomes the champion, it will be the worst shocker in the history of "Dancing With The Stars." On Monday's episode, David received the lowest score of all the other contestants.
Rashad Jennings
Rashad Jennings and Normani Kordei are neck and neck, but fans seem to think the championship will go to Normani rather than Rashad. He received a 38 out of 40 for his rumba and a 39 for his quickstep. Head judge Len Goodman said Rashad kept losing his frame.
The running back's total score was 77 out of 80, which was only one point ahead of Kordei.
Normani Kordei
Normani Kordei has done well all season even when she and Val were traveling out of the country on a couple of occasions. However, they have made it to the finals. After dancing the Viennese Waltz, the couple received a score of 36 out of 40 with each judge giving them a 9. Their second dance was a jazz. They received a perfect score for that performance.
"Dancing with the Stars" returns next Monday night for the finale. This season has been one with the most shocking eliminations. Therefore, be prepared to see who will be crowned the champion on the last episode of the season.
