Two couples will be eliminated from ABC's "Dancing with the Stars" on Monday, May 1 during the seventh week of competition. Nobody wants to be eliminated, but viewers will see two couples leave the ballroom floor. Viewers might not have any idea who will be eliminated until the last few seconds of the episode. It might be a surprise, especially after last week's shocking elimination when Heather Morris and Maksim Chmerkovskiy were eliminated.

Seven couples left

The competition is already down to only seven couples. After Monday night, there will be only five couples left.

The couples will dance to songs inspired by different movie genres, to include Westerns, Science Fiction, Romance, Action, Silent, and Foreign films. Two couples will dance the Paso Doble. Two couples will dance the Argentine Tango. One couple will dance the Charleston, a Salsa, and a Tango.

Immunity available

Immunity is very important during Monday's episode. The couple with the highest score will be saved from the double elimination even if the couple received the lowest combination of judges' scores and viewers' votes from last week. The other six couples will be divided into two groups, and there will be a dance-off to get additional points from the judges.

There will be another guest judge replacing Julianne Hough while she is on tour with her brother Derek Hough.

The guest judge is Mandy Moore who choreographs most of the group dances on the show. In fact, she choreographed the opening number for Monday's show called “Let’s Go to the Movies” for the remaining couples and the troupe. This is not the actress Mandy Moore who has a starring role on the hit show "This Is Us" on NBC that is in between seasons.

Where the couples stand

The following scores are from last week's Boy Bands and Girl Groups episode:

  • Normani Kordei and Val Chmerkovskiy - 38
  • Rashad Jennings and Emma Slater - 37
  • Simone Biles and Sasha Farber - 35
  • Nancy Kerrigan and Artem Chigvintsev - 33
  • Bonner Bolton and Sharna Burgess - 30
  • David Ross and Lindsay Arnold - 29
  • Nick Viall and Peta Murgatroyd - 28

Based on the above scores, David Ross and Nick Viall need to get immunity in order to be safe from elimination.

They have struggled all season and have not been at the top of the leaderboard during any week. It is a slim chance that this will happen on Monday's show; however, it could happen.
