"Days Of Our Lives" fans love Billy Flynn. He is the actor that brings the role of Chad to life. After several recasts, to have Billy in the role was a breath of fresh air. And the Emmies have taken notice.

Two great actors nominated!

Alongside Billy, another Salem man has been nominated for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series. Vincent Irizarry, the actor who plays Deimos, is on the short list with:

  • Peter Bergman (Jack, "The Young and The Restless")
  • Kristoff St. John (Neil, "The Young and The Restless")
  • Scott Clifton (Liam, "The Bold and The Beautiful")

It was recently announced that Vincent Irizarry is leaving Salem.

Later it all came out that the actor had in fact been fired. With the new writers for the show, the story line Deimos is involved in will play to a conclusion. There has been no word as to why he is leaving or if the role will be recast or left open for a possible return.

Recently Deimos slithered back to the dark side after losing all hope of a reconciliation with Nicole. As she was struggling to get a life with her daughter started, he was stuck on shady business dealings that put them all in danger.

There have been rumors of a murder plot in Salem involving Deimos. If that does prove to be the case, we will have to wait and see if Deimos makes it out of Salem unscathed, dead or heading for prison.

Either way, it should be ending around the time Deimos makes his final appearance on the set of "Days Of Our Lives."

It's a win either way!

With the popularity of both Billy Flynn and Vincent Irizarry, Fans of "DOOL" could be torn over who to root for. Billy is always great and has a huge fan base, but Deimos is a loved villain. Either way, the votes go, as long as "Days Of Our Lives" brings it home, fans will be happy. Both of the actors are great additions to the show.

The 44th Annual Emmy Awards ceremony will be held on April 30th at the Pasadena Civic Center Auditorium in Pasadena, California. No word yet on whether the show will be broadcast. As updates are released, we will keep you caught up here at Blasting News.
