Are Melania Trump's parents moving to the White House with her and Barron this summer? Viktor and Amalija Knavs have made rare appearance with the Trumps since the inauguration. While nothing has been reported on the first lady's mother and father taking up residence at the White House, it's believed that they play a role in helping care for Barron given the fact his mother has openly said she doesn't depend on nannies to care for 11-year-old Barron.

Why it makes sense that the Knavs would move to Washington

Melania's parents live near Trump Tower and are close to their daughter and grandson.

They flew on Air Force One when Melania and Barron joined the president for a weekend at Mar-a-Lago in Florida. It was the first weekend that Barron went along, which might have indicated that his grandparents were on-hand to help care for him while Melania made public appearances with her husband.

The Knavs may have also helped Donald and Melania Trump with Barron over inauguration weekend. They were in attendance for Trump's swearing in and likely had Barron in their care the rest of the time. None of this has been disclosed, but it makes sense by virtue of Melania's claims that she doesn't rely on nannies and that her parents are close with Barron.

Michelle Obama's mother lived in the White House

Marian Robinson, Michelle Obama's mother, lived at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue during Barack Obama's presidency. The intensely private Mrs. Robinson kept her distance from the West Wing and lived on the third floor of the White House while the rest of the family resided on the second floor.

Will Melania Trump's parents live at the White House to help with taking care of Barron? Michelle Obama's mother lived a private life the residence and could come and go as she pleased, The Washington Post reported.

President contradicts nanny claims by Melania

Despite Melania Trump insisting she doesn't rely on a nanny, Donald told the New York Post that a "young woman" does work with Barron.

A photo of a young woman accompanying the first son with Melania was taken in March during a bowling outing in New York City. Reports suggested that the woman was a "secret nanny."

Even if Barron does have a nanny, he's said to be close with his grandparents. When he moves to the White House, it's hard to envision him suddenly not having his grandparents just down the block. If Melania Trump's parents don't move to the White House, they'll probably make frequent trips to the capital to spend time with their daughter and grandson.

Melania and Barron will move to the White House after the school year ends in June. Barron currently attends Columbia Grammar and Preparatory School in Manhattan. The Trumps have already selected a private school for him in Washington, D.C., but it hasn't been revealed which one. Donald Trump would only say that it's a "good school."
