"Fortnite Battle Royale" currently has over 125 million players, according to a report by Forbes, and the developer keeps the game updated with fresh content. Whether it's a new item or balance changes, the game developer does its best to make the game enjoyable for everyone. Now, it seems that Epic Games is preparing a first-person mode for the most popular battle royale game, and this is something that could completely change it.

Many players don't know that "Fortnite" already has a first-person mode. However, it is restricted to Save the World mode and it is not really great at the moment.

Players are able to switch to it, but they cannot see their weapons or any other items in this mode. However, recent data mined files indicate that this point of view is coming to the PvP mode of "Fortnite," and players are hoping that it will be fully functional.

First-person mode

The latest "Fortnite Battle Royale" patch added first-person mode files to the game, according to FNBRLeaks Twitter page. Even though the patch did not enable this mode, this is an indicator that the development team is working on it and might release it soon. It is important to note that this is not the same first-person mode players can use in "Fortnite: Save the World" as this mode has separate game files.

Those of you who are familiar with data mining probably know about the Athena folder.

This is the folder Epic Games uses for "Fortnite Battle Royale" files and it is exclusive to the PvP mode. This means that no PvE files can be found in this folder, which proves that the data mined info is related to the battle royale mode of "Fortnite."

At the moment, no one knows exactly how the first-person mode is going to work.

Epic Games hasn't revealed any info about it, although there are a few fanmade concepts relating to it. You can watch a video of one of those concepts to get the idea of what "Fortnite Battle Royale" would look like from a different camera perspective.

Building in first-person mode

"Fortnite Battle Royale" is all about building, and building would be very difficult in a first-person mode.

It would be interesting to see how the game developer might use this point of view in the game, but there is a chance that there could be a limited-time game mode without building.

There is no doubt that this point of view would completely change the popular battle royale game, and that is why the developer may not keep it in the game permanently. It's still too early to talk about it, but hopefully, we will get more information soon.
