celebi is one of the mythical Pokemon introduced in Generation II. Since then, it has been featured in many Pokemon spin-offs and merchandise. That’s why it’s a no-brainer that the Pokemon will come back to 7th generation as a freebie for the returning “Gold and Silver” game. After purchasing the game, a special code will be given to the players to receive Celebi in either “Sun and Moon” or the upcoming “Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon.”
However, getting the Pokemon isn’t as easy as entering the special code. Here’s how to get Celebi for your Pokemon game.
How to get your code
There are certain steps to get your code. In order to receive it, you need to open your 3DS and go to the Nintendo E-shop. Then, select the Settings option from the main menu and choose Account Activity. Open your receipt for “Gold” or “Silver” and scroll down to check the code. Make sure to write it on a piece of paper if you want to save it for “Ultra Sun” and “Ultra Moon.”
If you want to receive the mythical monster directly to “Sun and Moon,” then you can immediately enter your code in the game. Just make sure to pick up Celebi from the deliveryman inside any Pokemon Center.
This will be the first time that Celebi will be distributed for the 7th generation, so if you are planning to get “Gold and Silver;” make sure to get the Pokemon and add it to your team.
Celebi is Psychic/Grass Pokemon that was first introduced in “Pokemon Gold and Silver.” The Pokemon is first encountered in the game as Guardian of Johto Region’s Ilex Forest. The monster was first caught in the wild in “Pokemon Crystal”, an event that can be unlocked using a GS Ball.
Just like any other Mythical Pokemon, Celebi doesn’t evolve to another form.
The freebie Pokemon will come at level 30 and knows Heal Bell, Ancient Power, Safeguard, and Future Sight upon arrival.
Other freebies
Other than Celebi, another Pokemon is available for grabs in ”Sun” and “Moon.” Right now, the Pokemon Company is distributing six special hats wearing Pikachus for the 7th generation game. Each of the monsters will be wearing Ash Ketchum’s hat from the anime series.
Players can only get one out of the six, so if you want a certain style of hat; make sure to watch out for the distribution dates.
Players who will purchase “Pokemon Gold” and “Pokemon Silver” will be able to get a Celebi starting from September 22, 2017, to September 21, 2018. Players will have until October 31, 2018, to consume it.
