Square Enix has recently revealed that the much awaited “Kingdom Hearts 3” finally has a release date. They also revealed that there will be new content for the most anticipated video game.

Release date finally revealed

The game company behind the most anticipated video game for a while revealed its release date at the “Level Up! The Walt Disney Company’s Video Game Showcase” panel. This was held at the D23 Expo in Anaheim, which held several panels recently like from Marvel and much more. It was confirmed it will be released this coming 2018 and it will be launched on the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One.

Rumors cleared up with new announcement

In the previous months, many fans speculated that this video game will be released in many years more, and some even speculated that it would be released after three years. There were some misleading articles that did not properly interpret the financial documents of the game company, which led to the depressing rumors of its long delay. With this announcement, they are now dispersed and the fans are now celebrating of its official announcement from the makers themselves.

New world joins the video game

Aside from the much-awaited announcement of the release date window, Square Enix also revealed the world that will join “Kingdom Hearts 3,” which is the “Toy Story” world.

A new trailer, which can be viewed down below, showcased the introduction of the new characters from the Pixar movie series and the new gameplay incorporated from that world.

The new trailer first introduced Sora and his loyal companions, Donald Duck and Goofy, who are now transformed into toys after entering the “Toy Story” world.

There they meet familiar characters from the movie series like Sheriff Woody, Buzz Lightyear, and much more. They discuss what happened to this world and what the Heartless, villains of the video game, are doing here.

The next few scenes of the new trailer revealed the new gameplay of this new world with the many toys players could ally and fight against.

It also showed how Sora could pilot a toy mech and the many abilities it has like missiles, cannons, and many more.

Game director gives his comment of reveal date

Game director Tetsuya Nomura expressed his excitement for including this new world to their video game. He also confirmed that many fans have been anticipating this world to be included in the game for many years already. He also revealed that the story behind it will be original and will be exclusive only to the third iteration of the game series, and he promised that there will be more details to be revealed soon.

New figures coming soon

Aside from the release date and the inclusion of “Toy Story,” Square Enix also revealed that there will be brand new “Kingdom Hearts 3” figures.

They tweeted that it will be in their Bring Arts lineup of toys. These figures will include the popular trio: Sora, Goofy, and Donald.
