LG unveiled the LG V30 in August this year, and currently, it is one of the top smartphones available in the market. In the US, the smartphone is available via all major carriers, but the Unlocked version is yet to hit shelves. However, customers may not have to wait longer for the unlocked version as a B&H listing suggests that the unlocked phone will soon be available in the US.

Availability of the unlocked LG V30 in the US

According to the B&H listing, the unlocked variant of the phone is available for pre-order and customers will have to shell out $829.99.

There are no monthly plans on offer, which means customers will have to pay the entire amount at one go. The B&H listing also suggests the expected availability of the phone as to December 5, which means customers who pre-order the phone can expect to get it in time for the holiday season. The LG offering is available via various carriers in several color options, but B&H lists the V30 only in the Cloud Silver option.

Although, the phone sports top-end specs, many customers may find the price of the unlocked version steep. The T-Mobile-locked version retails at $800, and Verizon sells the smartphone for $840. However, customers can take advantage of the monthly payment plans. In such a case, they will have to shell out $35 for 24 months.

AT&T offers the device for $810, but also has monthly payment plans options.

Specifications of the LG V30

The latest LG phablet sports a 6-inch P-OLED Quad HD (2,880 x 1,440 pixels) display. The phone is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 835 SoC and houses 4 GB of RAM. It boasts an internal storage capacity of 64 GB, which can be expanded further using a microSD card.

The handset also features a dual-rear camera setup. It sports 16-megapixel and 13-megapixel sensors, which are widely regarded as the best smartphone camera setup available in the market. A 5-megapixel front-facing camera will allow customers to take quality selfies.

The LG V30 runs on Android 7.1 Nougat out of the box, but it will be upgraded to Android 8.0 Oreo soon.

A rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, an IP68 rating, and a 3,300 mAh battery are some of the additional features in the LG offering. Another important aspect of the phone is that it supports LTE Band 71, which takes advantage of the 600 MHz spectrum offered by T-Mobile. The V30 is the only smartphone in the market that can connect to this frequency to improve the overall network quality.
