Samsung’s Galaxy Note 8 is one of the highly anticipated mobile devices this year. While Samsung has yet to announce the official release date of the smartphone, the pre-order date for the handset may have just been leaked online. The South Korean tech company’s official website for Australia published a document which appeared to suggest the upcoming phablet would be available for pre-order on August 25.

According to Express, the tech giant will hold a major press conference on August 23, where the most-awaited smartphone is expected to be unveiled.

However, the Australian website of the company may have done something too soon on revealing the pre-order date of the Galaxy Note 8. The documents that were posted don’t actually unveil the pre-order date, but the dates on some of the tech giant’s promotional terms could be a good indicator of when the upcoming smartphone will be available for pre-order.

Nonetheless, BGR reported that if the pre-order date of the Galaxy Note 8 in Australia would be on August 25, there’s a possibility that the mobile device will be available for pre-order in other major markets as well. This includes the United States, Asia, and some European countries.

If the pre-order date of the device would be on August 25, then smartphone enthusiasts shouldn’t have to wait very long to get their hands on the Galaxy Note 8.

According to Value Walk, the tech company is aiming to have their new device available on the market in early September in order to beat Apple’s iPhone 8. That likely won’t leave much time between the smartphone’s actual release date and the pre-order date.

Device’s FCC certification

Also, the Galaxy Note 8 has cleared FCC certification, which brings the device another step closer to its launch.

It is worth noting that the independent agency clears a product only if it finds it to be ready.

Specs of the handset

Nevertheless, Samsung’s new device is expected to boast a 6.3-inch Super AMOLED curved Infinity Display, screen embedded fingerprint scanner, S Pen support, improved iris scanner, Android 7.0 Nougat, IP68 certification and the all-new virtual assistant Bixby.

The Note 8 will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 processor, coupled with a 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage.

On the camera front, the mobile device is expected to come along with a dual camera setup. A combination of a 12MP telephoto sensor and 13MP wide-angle camera. The camera setup is expected to arrive with optical image stabilization.
