It's officially time to get people buzzing about "Destiny 2," and that's what Bungie is now doing with the recently concluded gameplay reveal. The gameplay reveal that took place yesterday in Los Angeles unveiled some new details about the upcoming online-only multiplayer first-person shooter video game from Bungie. One of the more surprising things about the upcoming game is that it won't have a PC release together with the official console Release Date of September 8.

Bungie admits they need time for a PC release

According to PC Gamer, director Luke Smith shared that the studio will need more time to work on a PC version of the game, which is why they've decided to release the game to consoles only this September.

In talking about "Destiny 2" for PC, Smith said that despite not having a definite PC release date just yet, "we're totally committed to making a PC build as great as we can...we want to make sure that this version of the game has the time it needs to bake in the oven so it's a delicious piece of bread when it comes out." However, fans of the franchise can expect an update about the PC version of the game "in the coming weeks."

'Destiny' sequel to include new weapons classes, Super Abilities

One thing to look forward to when "Destiny 2" arrives in September is the revamped weapons, which according to Gamespot will be known as Kinetic, Energy, and Power classes. The first game's weapons classes were called Primary, Secondary, and Heavy.

New weapons being added to the game include fusion and sniper rifles and grenade launchers. Players can also expect a chaingun. Meanwhile, there will be new Super Abilities such as the sword-based Dawnblade for the Warlock character, the Sentinel for the Titan character, and Arcstrider that lets players summon a staff to battle enemies with.

'Destiny 2' will offer more worlds to explore

In addition to the new weapons and Super Abilities that gamers can get their hands on, "Destiny 2" will also feature four new worlds. Players will be able to explore Titan, Io, Nessus, and Earth's European Dead Zone in the upcoming game, which special edition will come with a Season Pass.

This version will have "Expansion I and Expansion II, offering brand new story missions, cooperative activities, competitive multiplayer, and a wealth of new weapons, armor, and gear," as per Gamespot. "Destiny 2" will arrive to Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on September 8, and to PC on a later date.
