Taylor Swift is back and better than ever with her latest single, “Look What You Made Me Do” that she released last week. Many fans were utterly shocked by her cryptic teasers beforehand, and now it seems like she’s owning up to her sinister reputation. However, with Swift being who she is, the pop star released a new music video owning up to all the rumors and scandals. While her catchy music video might have stolen the spotlight in the industry, could she have actually poked fun at the Kim Kardashian robbery?

Dropping the latest music video

Not too long ago, the official Taylor Swift VEVO released the latest music video for the singer’s hit single, “Look What You Made Me Do.” Unlike her previous MV’s, the singer opted to go for a darker tone, hence her zombified version rising from the grave of her soiled reputation.

The video also tries to convey her empowerment through various scenarios like heists, bike scenes, and even her acting as a leader of a spandex-clad female army. While everything may seem like fun and games, it’s pretty obvious that the pop sensation has finally put her foot down after her three-year hiatus filled with different scandals.

She even acknowledges the rumors at the end of the video wherein a group of old Swifts are lined up, ranging from her geeky “You Belong with Me” iteration down to another Swift donning her silver dress she wore during the iconic 2009 VMA. These renditions of the pop star berate each other, calling her out for always acting like a victim or pretending to be nice.

Kim K scandal

In line with this, news.com.au reports that the pop star actually seems to be mocking Kim Kardashian in one scene early on in the video. Here, Swift is seen bathing in a tub of jewelry and money which alludes to the infamous Kardashian robbery. Back then, the thieves stole a gold Rolex, a gold and diamond Jacob necklace, two diamond Cartier bracelets, and Lorraine Schwartz diamond earrings while the celebrity was bound and gagged in a bathtub at the time.

With this in mind, many believed that Swift was actually berating and mocking the Kardashian’s tragic experience.

The netizens expressed their opinions on social media, calling out the pop star for a low blow. Some claimed that she made fun of an incident where the celebrity could have died. In spite of this, other people simply claimed that it was just a plain coincidence and the scene didn’t mean anything.
