Many fans are now excited for the upcoming premiere of the “NCIS” Season 15. However, details about its storyline remain scarce up to this writing.
Now, new reports are claiming that a “Star Trek: The Next Generation” star is confirmed joining in an episode directed by Rocky Carroll. American actress Gates McFadden is appearing on the Season 15’s fifth episode.
A new character is coming to town
Gates McFadden confirmed via Twitter that she is, indeed, having a guest role in the forthcoming “NCIS” Season 15. She is the latest addition to the fantastic lineup of guest stars that include Trevor Donovan, Cheryl Texiera and returning casts Robert Wagner Jr.
(Anthony DiNozzo Sr.) and Joe Spano (Tobias Fornell).
While McFadden did not give any other details about her role in “NCIS” Season 15, CarterMatt predicted that her episode might come in November. This is not the first time that a “Star Trek” alum will appear on the TV show as Jeri Yan and Marina Sirtis have previously dropped by to play roles several years ago.
Known as Cheryl Gates McFadden in real life, the veteran actress also starred in various films and TV shows such as “The Hunt for Red October,” “Taking Care of Business,” “Crowned and Dangerous,” “Make the Yuletide Gay” “Dirty” and “A Neighbor’s Deception.” The 68-year-old star is best recognized for playing Dr. Beverly Crusher in the “Star Trek: The Generation” series and its subsequent movies.
Is Nick Torres to blame for superiors' quandary?
Meanwhile, The Christian Post suggested that the remaining NCIS team members could blame special agent Nick Torres (Wilmer Valderrama) for Leroy Jethro Gibbs and Tim McGee’s ordeal in Paraguay. It was previously revealed that the pair were captured by the rebels who attacked them in the Season 14 finale episode.
The publication claimed that Torres might be feeling guilty for abandoning them. So, he will exhaust all efforts to bring back Gibbs and McGee in the headquarters again. TCP added that Nick might be forced to explain why he was the only one who returned from the mission in “NCIS” Season 15.
Rumors also have it that agents Leroy Jethro Gibbs and Tim McGee will be able to escape and make it back alive to the U.S.
The duo is also expected to get reunited with their love interests in the next installment.
“NCIS” Season 15 is set to return on September 26, 2017, on CBS at 8 p.m. EDT. Stay tuned for more spoilers, news, and updates!
