The production of “scandal” Season 7 has now started, and its cast members are now giving their fans a few glimpses of their filming. On the stars’ respective social media accounts, they are sharing how excited they are to see each other again for the show’s swan song.

However, it looks like someone is about to say goodbye as there are swirling rumors that there will be a major character death coming. And now that the filming starts, the show’s return is getting pretty close, although the exact date of its release is not yet revealed.

The start of production

The likes of Darby Stanchfield, Katie Lowes, and more are posting their photos on their own social media pages about the show's filming.

“'Scandal' is back! Sooooo good to be back with my scandal sisters,” Stanchfield captioned her snap with the girls of “Scandal” Season 7 like Kerry Washington, Bellamy Young, and Lowes. On the other hand, Lowes revealed a love triangle snap with her onscreen husband George Newbern and her former lover Guillermo Diaz. “Quinn's dudes,” she described the picture.

Of course, the show’s executive producer Shonda Rhimes also shared a Boomerang clip of their table read on her Instagram page.

“I love these human beings,” she said. She also teased that she is now excited to reveal what they have in store for their final season.

To recall, the television series’ showrunner revealed last May that they would be taking their final bow as the political thriller is coming to an end. The ABC drama’s creator released a statement, saying that although she is not the one who made the cancellation’s announcement, she will do her best to end the series on her terms.

The big shocker coming

Meanwhile, there are swirling rumors that either Olivia (Kerry Washington) or Mellie (Bellamy Young) is going to die in the coming “Scandal” Season 7.

Shonda Rhimes is said to be planning a major shocker that will surely surprise the fans upon its ending.

Olivia is the main character of the television series. Thus it will create significant noise if she dies at the end of the season. However, as Mellie now plays as the new President of the United States, killing her off will also be a big blow to the show, Christian Post reported.

It has been said that the upcoming new season will be as intense as it previous seasons. Now that Olivia is one of the most powerful and influential women in Washington, a lot of fans are now waiting for her next move. She is now the White House Chief of Staff, and Mellie trusts her expertise and advises. Her ex-husband Fitz (Tony Goldwyn) will also be there to support her and her government.
