Are you ready for a brand new top of the line Android smartphone? Did you look away the second you read the word "Android?" Samsung is releasing its newest flagship phones, the Samsung Galaxy S9 and Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus. Here are some alleged features and what we know so far.

Release date and speculation

It is almost set in stone that the Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus will be launched at the Mobile World Congress on February 25 and pre-orders will start days later. A lot of speculation and leaks have appeared all over the web, so here are a few of them.

Camera: According to The Inquirer, it will have a 12MP Dual Pixel camera and 8MP front-facing camera with autofocus and Iris scanner. The S9 Plus will have a dual camera.

Size: According to Engadget, the S9 will have a 5-8-inch Super AMOLED infinity display and the S9 Plus will have a 6.2-inch super AMOLED infinity display.

Storage: According to GSM Arena, the S9 will have a 64 GB, 4 GB RAM and up to 256 GB with micro SD; the S9 Plus will also have a 64 GB and 128 GB version, 4 GB RAM and up to 256 GB with micro SD.

Others: They will both have a 3.5mm headphone jack, Bluetooth 5.0, stereo speakers, Bixby integration, Android 8.0 (Oreo), wireless charging support, updates DeX docking station, among other features.

Some fans are disappointed by some of the rumors

According to many sources, the most powerful version will not be available in the United States but in others countries. Also, according to Yahoo! Finance, due to some weird reasons, Samsung has canceled the production of their newest screens and now, their newest phones will look very similar to their predecessors, the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus.

Samsung will be inspired by Apple's animoji and they will include it in the S9 and S9 Plus but will take it a step further and make the face of a person an animoji; with Apple's current feature, the animojis are already pre-set.

Are they worth the price tag?

Yes, if your phone is two years old or older, which includes your old iPhone.

Both the Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus will have an amazing camera, Android Oreo and stereo speakers. It will definitely be worth your money. Most sources are speculating that the S9 will cost around $750 and S9 Plus will cost around $850.
