Tesla recently launched its new electric-powered vehicle, the Model 3. The vehicle has a starting price of $35,000. An initial batch of the car was delivered to its first 30 customers. The car has over half a million reservations worldwide. Tesla’s CEO Elon Musk also said that the company will be making more cars as fast as it can to fulfill the length list of its pre-orders. Elon Musk also stated that it is really tough to reach his goal of making 500,000 cars next year due to some supply issues and other complexities.

The Tesla Model 3 is probably one of the cheapest cars made by the company.

The price costs half compared to its previous models. The Model 3 is part of the planned vehicles of California-based Tesla. In 2006, Elon Musk said that the company would soon build affordably priced family cars after establishing itself with high-end vehicles like the Model S, which has a price of $69,500. This is also the first time that many Tesla workers are able to buy their own Tesla vehicle.

Difference between standard and long-range battery

The Model 3 comes in two different battery types, the standard and the long-range. The vehicle that has a standard battery costs $35,000. It has a range of 220 miles. It has a supercharging rate of 130 miles in 30 minutes, and in 5.6 seconds it can effortlessly jump from zero to 60 miles per hour.

On the other hand, the vehicle that has a long-range battery costs $44,000 and has a range of 310 miles. It has a supercharging rate of 170 miles in 30 minutes. In just 5.1 seconds the vehicle can go from zero to 60 miles per hour. But from the outside, the $35,000 version will look no different compared to a fully loaded $57,000 version.

How to operate a car that does not have a key?

The car does not have a key or a key fob. But to operate the vehicle, users can sync their smartphones through a Bluetooth connection and it will automatically unlock as the user approaches the vehicle. But what if the user’s phone dies or you need to hand it off to a valet? The Model 3 has a thin key card that can be used to unlock and start the car.

The key card can easily fit in any wallet. Users can just swipe the key card to the vehicle's B pillar to unlock it, or place the card on its center console to turn on the car. Unlike the previous vehicles like the Model S and Model X, the Model 3 has plenty of door pockets, cup holders and console storage, which makes it better for everyday use. The vehicle also has a simple and elegant design.
