Both of them have specific purposes, but the Tone Free edition will be the one to rival other similar products. The LG Tone Free is powered by Bluetooth 4.2 and supports profiles such as Advanced Audio Distribution (A2DP), Audio/Video Remote Control (AVRCP), Hands-Free (HFP), and Headset (HSP). It can operate at the maximum distance of 33 ft., and charge up full in less than two hours.
LG has released an app for the ear buds in Google Play Store. The app will enable the Bluetooth headset to read SMS out loud if you want it that way. It can also read the battery level of the Bluetooth device. In the app, you can change the language of your choosing as long as there is an available native language.
The Tone Free ear buds can perform without you wearing the neck band on your neck.
That means, when you decide to use the Tone Free during jogging routines, you can just leave the neck band in your bag or somewhere safe.
