Apple is making a lot of headlines lately, most of them pertaining to the new innovations that the Cupertino technology is expected to bring towards the end of this year. Little did everyone know, the company will be killing off one of its best introductions to the technology markets? If the reports are believed to be true, Apple has officially ditched its Ipod Nano and Shuffle lineup of products.

What reports have to say?

According to Telegraph, the products are no longer available for purchase in any of Apple’s official retail or online stores.

Apple apparently made a statement a couple of days back saying that in order to simplify their lineup of iPod products, they were only going to make two models of its iPod Touch available for purchase. They will come along with double the capacity and will be available at a starting price of $199. However, they were doing away with their Nano and Shuffle lineup of products permanently. The two products that have been killed off by Apple have come a long way since their inception. They were introduced back in 2005, wherein the products were available at a decent cost. The Cupertino-based technology giant kept renewing its lineup with newer versions each year. They were ensuring better consumer attraction as well.

However, as the time passed by, the company’s iPod lineup of products started degrading as well. The demand for the same started descending down the slope. Therefore, Apple has decided to kill off its Nano and Shuffle line-up of products.

iPhone specs and features

Apple meanwhile is in a full preparation model for its upcoming iPhone 8 smartphone.

The device manufacturer is expected to introduce its latest flagship device towards the end of September. The latest innovation is going to be the priciest offering made by Apple till date. If reports are to be believed, the upcoming Apple iPhone 8 will come equipped with a dual rear camera system along with a front-facing 3D scanner as well.

Apart from this, the smartphone will probably be running on the latest A11 chipset as well.

No official announcement yet

None of the above-mentioned information regarding the possible specifications of the upcoming iPhone 8 device has been confirmed by the company. Therefore, it remains to be seen what happens when Apple actually takes the wraps off its iPhone 8 smartphone. Till then, the fans can simply binge on rumors and speculations.
