Lisa Vanderpump has reportedly opted out of attending Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright's upcoming wedding in Versailles, Kentucky. Although the former "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star was expected to be present as a guest of honor at the couple's June 29 nuptials, a report from Radar Online on June 20 has revealed Vanderpump is pulling out of the event with less than two weeks to go.

According to the report, Vanderpump, who stars alongside Taylor and Cartwright on "Vanderpump Rules," won't be attending the wedding because of the recent passing of her mother, Jean Vanderpump.

“Lisa will not be able to go to the wedding,” an insider revealed to the outlet, adding that she's absolutely devastated by the loss.

Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright understand her decision

While Taylor and Cartwright were surely looking forward to having Vanderpump in attendance at their wedding, which will take place at The Kentucky Castle, they are said to be completely understanding of the reasoning behind her decision to pull out of her appearance, as well as other upcoming events for season eight. “They have reached out to send their condolences," the source said, "and accept [Lisa Vanderpump] needs to step away from filming ['Vanderpump Rules'] right now so she can attend to her family.”

In addition to the fact that Vanderpump is having to fly from Los Angeles to London, England, where her mother was living, the Radar Online report claimed the restaurant owner didn't want to take away from Taylor and Cartwright's big day.

“[Lisa] doesn’t want their special time to be overshadowed,” the insider explained.

The 'Pump Rules' cast is included in the wedding

In addition to Tom Sandoval's best man role in the upcoming nuptials, Cartwright has included a number of her co-stars, including Ariana Madix, Kristen Doute, Scheana Marie, Lala Kent, and Stassi Schroeder, as bridesmaids and Katie Maloney as her Matron of Honor.

Lisa Vanderpump will also miss a New York City Pride event

On the day after Taylor and Cartwright's wedding is set to take place, Lisa Vanderpump was planning to attend a series of World Pride events in the Big Apple. However, because of her family tragedy, Vanderpump is now expected to skip the upcoming festivities. That said, the insider made it clear that Vanderpump "loves and supports" the LGBTQ community and knows they will understand why she won't be present for the events.

Vanderpump is currently starring on the ninth season of "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills," which airs on Bravo TV on Tuesdays at 9 p.m. and will be seen in the eighth season of "Vanderpump Rules" later this year.
