Lisa Vanderpump took to her Twitter after a news report came out that video footage captured a woman dumping newborn pups in a dumpster. The act in Coachella infuriated animals lovers, more especially as there are plenty of animal shelters for unwanted pups. The footage was released on April 21, but it happened on Thursday. Rallying around Lisa, fans were determined to do whatever it took to try and find her.

Video footage shows pups thrown into a very hot dumpster

The video released by Animal Services shows "her stepping out of a white Jeep, peering into a dumpster used for recyclables, then dropping a plastic bag into the pile of trash and driving away," ABC Eyewitness News reported.

There were seven puppies in the plastic bag in the incident that took place "behind a Napa Auto Parts store in Coachella."

Authorities are trying to identify the woman because of the inhumane act. Someone who came by rummaging through the dumpster shortly after the incident found the puppies and took them inside. According to the Coachella Valley Animal Campus on Facebook, "If not for the Good Samaritan’s actions, the puppies may not have survived much longer. The mid-day temperatures in Coachella on Thursday were in the mid-90s range."

Angry Lisa Vanderpump tweets to try help find the puppy-dumping woman

People were outraged on both Facebook and YouTube. Lisa Vanderpump, well known for her Vanderpump Dog Foundation has loads of social influence and she put that in to bat.

Her post on Twitter read, "She threw those puppies... Find the bitch, come on there are almost 2 million of you, we can do this." The almost two million refers to the number of her Twitter followers, which is substantial. They come from followers of the TV shows "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" and "Vanderpump Rules." Plus, many of them enjoy her restaurants.

She later messaged her followers to talk about what she and others are trying to do with the PACT act. "You see this is why the PACT act we are working on will be so valuable. This would be a felony! Not a misdemeanor..."

Fans reacted to the call for help and to the incident involving the pups.

Here's what some of them said about it:

  • @Star**: "I’m sure with software that can greatly enhance the photo, they can at least get a partial number off that plate. With that and make and model of the Jeep plus the geographical area, I bet it could be narrowed down by a lot. Was that a CA plate? Hopefully, she doesn’t have kids."
  • @Thea**: "RT police need help finding this monster-threw newborn puppies in dumpster 90* weather #Coachella Mother needs 2b saved & reunited w/her puppies @LisaVanderpump #LVP #VanderpumpDogs please RT!!"
  • @Lisvanderpumpfans: "We need to find her. Retweet, tag people. Do whatever it takes to find this disgusting, vile person!"

The woman who dumped the pups may have been identified, fans report back on Lisa's Twitter

Hours later, feedback came via comments on Lisa's tweet.

A retired RN @juli** posted, "I just spoke with someone at the store where puppies were dumped and he told me they traced license and now know who she is. He also said they were waiting for her to come into police station on her own. Hopefully soon Mama will be reunited with her babies."

Meanwhile, many fans asked Lisa Vanderpump what ordinary people can do to help work for getting the PACT Act. Hopefully, Lisa will give them some feedback on that.

What do you think about Lisa Vanderpump calling on her fans to try and help track down the woman? Do you think the law should be harsher on acts like the woman who dumped newborn pups in a hot dumpster?
