"Counting On" couple Jill and Derick Dillard took some time to have fun in Branson, Missouri. They got to spend some time with their nephew, baby Jax. On the Dillard family Blog, Jill explained that Jax is the child of Dan and Deena. Dan is Derick's brother. They managed to get in a visit to Silver Dollar City, plus they had a nice lunch. It certainly looks like they had a lot of fun.
Jill Dillard got some help with the kids
The couple managed to get away as they got some help with kids. According to the blog, "Jessa and Ben and Derick’s mom (Cathy) helped with the boys." Family time is wonderful, but every couple needs time to themselves on occasion.
Studying law is challenging, so after his finals, no doubt Derick's enjoying the opportunity to relax and unwind a bit. Jill looks happy as well. She posted up a photo of the two of them on Instagram and fans noticed that they both look very well.
Although they don't feature on TLC's "Counting On" anymore, they do stay in touch with fans on Instagram. They have their blog and also a YouTube channel. In fact, on her post about the weekend away, some fans wished they could get their own television show.
Baby Jax looks so cute
While the Dillards have two of their own boys, they enjoyed seeing little Jax. What a cutie he is. Derick's nephew had a lot to say in baby babble as Jill held him. Probably because Jill had so much experience with her own babies the little fellow looked relaxed and happy with his aunt.
While in Branson, the couple also had lunch in a park. It seems that they just wanted the time alone as they grabbed a takeout pizza and headed off to share their meal under the trees. These two are so obviously in love, it puts a lie to some of the rumors going around that they are on the verge of a divorce. Also, the coincidence they came across interested fans.
The blog notes that at the park office, they found the brochure for the Fort Rock Family Camp. That's "Austin’s family’s family camp!"
Silver Dollar Park
At Silver Dollar Park, the "Counting On" couple looked like they soaked up loads of fun. They enjoyed lunch there as well, after playing at the competitive shooting on the Flooded Mine Ride.
Plus, Derick got himself into the stocks for a photo op. Look at those happy faces in the video below.
But of course, all good times come to an end. However, when you have kids back home, it's never a hardship to return to your little loves.
