Dorit Kemsley has been facing rumors of potential plastic surgeries in recent months, due to what some have claimed is a new face. Then, earlier this month, after the "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" cast member shared a throwback photo of herself, those rumors were further fueled. Although Dorit, a married mother of two, continues to be faced with surgery rumors as she remains silent, her alleged new face could simply be the result of weight loss, fillers, and energy devices.

During a new interview with Blasting News, Dr. Jason Emer, a board certified and fellowship-trained general, cosmetic, and procedural dermatologist, who has made a name for himself with his futuristic procedures that allow him to replace scalpels with lasers, fillers, threads, and radio frequencies, is revealing his thoughts on Dorit.

What is the doctor saying about Dorit's new look?

Blasting News: As a surgeon, what is the most noticeable change in Dorit's face that you see in before and after photos?

Dr. Jason Emer: Now, she's much more chiseled and leaner. You can see a lot of tightening along the jawline and chin, a lot of elevation in the cheek, more open eyes and extremely smooth skin.

BN: What do you believe prompted these changes?

JE: [Dorit Kemsley] looks a lot leaner than she did in the photos out there in the media, so it could be that she potentially got on the health craze and has been doing a lot of nutritional things for herself. There's also a lot now in the media of women really looking to get very chiseled features, such as lateral cheeks and defined chin and jawlines. We're kind of in the year now of the jawline and chin. In the past few years it was a lot of cheek focus, then it was lips, and now it's really chins, and jawline focused, which you can really tell with her, as well as having a tight neck. A lot of celebrities right now, rather than over-filling through fillers and shaping, are looking to really tighten the skin through energy devices, which looks a lot more natural and keeps them looking younger as time goes on.

BN: Could Dorit's dramatic new look be the result of only fillers or do you suspect something else (or multiple surgeries) had to have been done?

JE: It's very hard to tell whether or not she's had surgery, I mean even if she did it probably would've been minimal. Really based on the neck, chin, and jawline if anything she could have had a mini-lift surgery or something similar. She looks extremely natural and young which makes me doubt it was surgery, I have a feeling it's her becoming a little leaner, more exercise and diet, and also maybe a little bit of fillers but mainly those energy devices. Things such as Thermage and Fractora, which both use radio frequency energies to tighten the skin and are very popular in Hollywood right now because of their minimal downtime.

Thermage tightens the skin by pulsing on the surface, and Fractora uses needles that go into the skin and pulses under the surface of the skin, both tightening and defining the neck and chin, lifting the eyebrow, give you more of a cat eye look. The volume of her cheek, chin, temple and lips could be related to fillers or Sculptra, which is an injectable collagen that grows over time and not as quickly as the fillers. Even though she's moving weight on the rest of her body, her face is maintaining its volume.

She also has good texture to her skin. She could be doing things like the Vampire Facial, a craze in Hollywood where you use microneedles and PRP your own blood to stimulate texture on the skin, and obviously laser peel skin care because her skin is so good.

The other big craze in Hollywood are little baby threads inserted with small needles under the skin to build collagen, which is very popular right now along the neck, jawline, and cheek area to lift the tissue and give less volume than fillers, although her definition and symmetry are very telling of fillers combined with a very natural look.

Is Dorit Kemsley following Hollywood trends?

BN: Is Dorit possibly following any surgery or filler trends popular in Hollywood at the moment?

JE: The biggest trends are the very tight neck, defining jawline and chin, and a little less size in the volume of the lips. [Dorit Kemsley] also has nice lateral cheek elevation which is softer and defined, whereas last year it was more volume focused.

The cat eye and lifted brow are also very popular right now, whether through fillers or botox to lift those areas, or Ultherapy which is a form of ultrasound to tighten the muscles around those areas. So for Dorit she really is following the lifted cheek and defined jawline with more central hollowing of the face for a model-esque look, and also the trend of tightening the lower face.

BN: Could weight loss have been responsible for some of the changes?

JE: Weight change has a huge impact on the face. The majority of women that lose weight or have hormonal changes can have a huge effect on the overall skin quality, making the skin more or less soft, or in her instance, even pigmented. On her you really don't see any of that, she's leaned out and we haven't really seen those changes to the face, so she's either doing something to keep her face looking very natural, or just genetically is very lucky.

Sculptra, Fractora, and Thermage treatments are all things that could explain why we see her leaning out through exercise and diet, while not really losing facial volume.

What will fans see from Dorit in the future?

BN: Over time, what do you suspect will happen to Dorit's face? Will it look the same if she doesn't have anything new done, or will it appear altered frequently due to potential maintenance?

JE: Well in the past when people were over-filling and time went on, they started to look a little unnatural, a little puffy, and a little undefined. Nowadays, when we're doing things much more naturally, through new procedures such as Sculptra which again is building up collagen over time, and energy devices that resurface and tighten the skin, when you stop those treatments you just go back to the natural aging process.

The way she looks now, which is extremely natural and beautiful, it will stay that way as she goes through the natural aging process if she doesn't continue. If she does continue with the preventative treatments, she will preventatively age and slow down the process. What I tell people is that the goal is not to look much younger, it's to look younger for your age group compared to those of your age who are not doing these treatments.

"The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" will return to Bravo TV for Season nine sometime next year. Denise Richards has also denied a wedding fight with a co-star.
