The latest updates and spoilers for "Iron Fist" Season 2 reveal the first ten episodes of the Netflix series. Marvel announced the title names of each episode through its Instagram post as comic book fans noticed something different about it.

Marvel TV head Jeph Loeb confirmed that Rosario Dawson will not reprise her as Claire Temple in the show. The second season will focus on Danny Rand's mission to protect New York from the dangerous criminals after he finally defeated The Hand in "The Defenders" mini-series. However, a new threat emerges as former ally Davo seeks to challenge him for the title of Iron Fist.

Season 2 episode titles

According to Digital Spy, Marvel announced the names of the ten episodes in "Iron Fist" season 2 via the show's Instagram post. The titles are "The Fury of the Iron Fist," "The City's not for Burning," "This Deadly Secret," "Target: Iron Fist," "Heart of the Dragon," "The Dragon Dies at Dawn," Morning of the Midstorm," "Citadel on the Edge of Vengeance," "War Without End," and "A Duel with Iron."

When the episodes came out, netizens and Marvel fans noticed that the show only had ten episodes instead of the usual 13. Netflix vice president of Cindy Holland stated at the Television Critics Association that there were contractual issues when many episodes are being ordered.

They were aiming for quality over quantity and the best way to make the second season a success is to reduce its episodes.

The first season of "Iron Fist" was not a success due to its slow and dragging pacing, and Marvel TV showrunners are looking to remedy it by adding more fight scenes and an engaging storyline.

Danny Rand will face Davo and Typhoid Mary in the show.

The second season will also explore more of Danny's time K'un-Lun from his martial arts training to his deadly duel with Davo for the title of Iron Fist.

No Claire Temple appearance

According to Geek Tyrant, Jeph Loeb told the fans at San Diego Comic-Con that fan-favorite support character, Claire Temple will not return in "Iron Fist" season 2.

"Claire won’t be in there, but our relationship with Rosario [Dawson] is awesome and we love her, she loves us and — when the story lends itself into that place and hopefully she’s available — we go down that road,” Loeb said.

Rosario Dawson stated in a previous interview that she was opened to reprise her role after "Luke Cage" season 2, however, her priorities as a parent come first and she wants to be with her daughter.

Claire was instrumental in bringing Daredevil, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, and Iron Fist together as they fought The Hand and other criminal organizations that terrorized New York from the shadows.
