The latest updates for "Luke Cage" Season 2 reveal that cast member Rosario Dawson may not reprise her role as Claire Temple in the Marvel Netflix shows. Dawson was in attendance at the MCM London Comic-Con over the weekend and stated that she is unsure about her future if she wants to continue to work as an actress or be with her daughter as a full-time mother.

Claire Temple has been a major supporting character in the Marvel Netflix shows and she will help out Luke Cage to save Harlem from a new foe, Bushmaster, in the second season. There is also a new clip from the show that featured Luke Cage trying to do his best to catch his new nemesis.

Claire Temple exits Marvel Netflix soon

According to ScreenGeek, Dawson was opened for the possibility of reprising her role as Claire Temple for more shows, but at the same time, her personal commitments as a parent to her daughter seem to have her think twice.

"I don't know if I'll be back after this, to be honest, but it's been an amazing few years," Dawson said. "But its been like, my daughter is in high school, so I kinda wanna not be 3,000 miles away for work."

Claire Temple made her live-action debut in the first season of "Daredevil" helping Matt Murdock stop the Kingpin and his organization from taking over Hell's Kitchen. She also helped Jessica Jones save Luke Cage's life after they had a fight, and helped Danny Rand fight the Hand from taking over his company.

The Marvel character's most notable achievement was forming The Defenders when she helped Matt, Luke, Jessica, and Danny meet each other to end the Hand's reign of terror in New York. Claire will return in "Luke Cage" season 2 as he helps Luke stop Bushmaster from taking over Harlem at the same time keeping him alive and grounded to see what is important.

The weight of Harlem

A new clip from "Luke Cage" season 2 featured Luke looking for Bushmaster for payback after their first encounter. As he walks the streets of Harlem, its residence questioned whether he can take Bushmaster out as they assess that his new enemy is stronger and more dangerous.

Luke assures the crowd that he will stop Bushmaster and his gang from taking over Harlem, but they are skeptical and have lost their faith in him, leaving the bulletproof hero frustrated.

Bushmaster in the Netflix series will have the same powers as Luke, and it seems he has big plans for the city. Luke will likely go to any lengths to stop as he steps the line between being a hero and a public menace.
