The happy news is out and Joseph and Kendra Duggar have welcomed their first child together. The news was already out that they were having a boy. Her due date was close and everyone was waiting on the news that the baby was here. That news came out today, but he was actually born yesterday and they waited to tell the fans for a bit.
Details about the baby
Joe and Kendra Duggar had their son Garrett David on June 8 at 1:36 p.m. The baby weighed 7 lbs. 8 oz. and was 20.5 inches long. A rep for the couple said, "Kendra delivered yesterday without complications.
Mom and baby are both doing great." You can assume that this means she did a home birth since that is the way the Duggars usually do it, but they didn't confirm that just yet.
When they shared they were having a boy, the couple said "Wow! We are so happy to learn that our firstborn is a boy! Our minds are already racing toward all the future memories to be made with this little guy! Most of all, we are already asking God to bless him and help us grow him into a loving and faithful follower of Christ!" The Duggars have been having a lot of boys lately, but Jinger Vuolo will be having a girl when she is due later this month. It is exciting that at least someone will be having a girl.

Joe and Kendra history
The couple had a very short courtship after knowing each other for a long time. They met as children while at church and their families have been friends for a while.
They got engaged in May of 2017. Joy-Anna Duggar Forsyth let her brother propose at her wedding in a very special way where they made sure she got the bouquet when it was thrown to all the single ladies.
The couple got married in September of 2017 and just now welcomed a son in June of 2018. They may end up having a big family just like the other Duggars.
Things are going well for this couple and it is great news to hear that their baby boy was born without any issues or complications. The viewers have been waiting for this big announcement. Sometimes they don't share the name of their baby right away, but Joe and Kendra didn't make the fans wait to hear it.
Hopefully, they will show Joe and Kendra Duggar have their new baby on the new season of "Counting On." The new season will start airing on TLC on July 30 with new episodes. They have been filming for a while, but they may do a special about the baby because they have done this in the past.
