“NCIS” Season 15 Episode 23, called “Fallout,” is the second to final episode of this season. As Abby Sciuto (Pauley Perrette) bids her final goodbye, it is quite expected things are going to change as the show comes to a close as there are a lot of twists and turns of events happening in the upcoming episode. In fact, new promotional images tease Jimmy Palmer (Brian Dietzen) in on an undercover mission, while Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon) will find out something odd and surprising.

Official synopsis

In the official synopsis of “NCIS” Season 15 Episode 23, called “Fallout,” Gibbs is going to a friend’s memorial service after he got lost at the sea.

But, he will be later surprised to know that his pal, named Navy Captain Phillip Brooks (Don Lake), is actually alive and hiding in a fallout shelter.

Captain Brooks’ boat got attacked, but he managed to swim until he reached the shore. CBS’ new promotional images for the penultimate episode also showed Gibbs looking very dapper in his formal attire. These photos seem to be from his visit to the funeral. Susan Walters will be the guest star in this episode. She will be playing the role of the commander’s wife, Marcy Brooks.

A mission to light the mood

Meanwhile, fans are about to see a different kind of Palmer in “NCIS” Season 15 Episode 23, “Fallout.” In the promotional images, Dietzen’s character can be seen disguised as a professional golfer.

From the looks of it, Palmer is on an undercover mission and seems to be trying to solve a case. Is he digging something in the golf course? What’s more surprising in the images is Nicholas Torres (Wilmer Valderrama). He is proudly standing behind Palmer, wearing a vest and seems to be guiding his “boss” as he tries to win the game.

Yes, Torres is Palmer’s caddy as seen in the snaps. Evidently, the two are up to something in that place, thus they are pretending to be golfers.

It seems like “Fallout” will try to lighten the mood after the tear-jerking goodbye of Abby in the previous episode, “Two Steps Back.” As Torres is known for being the one who wants to be always in control, this time, he will be guiding Palmer and bring his stuff.

People behind “NCIS” Season 15 have to do something big in the series’ storyline as this season will soon come to a close. After Abby’s exit, CBS has to offer a new twist to keep Pauley Perrette’s fans watching the long-running television show.
