"General Hospital" spoilers for May sweeps promise to keep "GH" fans on the edge of their seats. The latest soap magazines and ABC promo videos reveal an action-packed Nurses Ball 2018. Longtime viewers know that huge things happen at the annual charity event. It is the stage for all kinds of crazy drama and every year, something bizarre happens. This year, it's all about Henrik Faison and his mommy issues.

Nurses Ball murders!

Back in 2015, it was on the night of the Nurses Ball that Duke Lavery (Ian Buchanan) was shot in cold blood by Carlos Rivera (Jefferey Vincent Parise) on orders from then-mob boss Julian Jerome (William deVry).

Also at the ball, Nikolas Cassadine (Tyler Christopher) told Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) that her sweetie "Jake Doe" was really Jason Morgan (then played by Billy Miller).

Another May sweeps "GH" spoilers plot had serial killer Paul Hornsby (Richard Burgi) murdering beloved nurse Sabrina Santiago (Teresa Castillo). Last year's 2017 Nurse's Ball saw the very strange Chimera mystery unfolding with little Jake Webber (Hudson West) and a guest spot by Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers). "General Hospital" spoilers rarely let viewers down for May sweeps and 2018 is no different.

Anna and Peter meet in secret

This year's "General Hospital" spoilers reveal that the Henrik Faison storyline will explode in the vicinity of the Nurses Ball when Peter August (Wes Ramsey) agrees to meet with Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) in a private location.

Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), who has a bone to pick with Henrik Faison, follows Anna. Jason is locked and loaded, ready to kill on sight.

Remember, Anna has no idea that Peter is really Henrik, her son with Cesar Faison (Anders Hove). And Peter has absolutely no idea that Anna is his biological mother. Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) has kept this huge maternity secret from Peter his whole life.

But it's about out to come out in a deadly fashion and Anna is on the cusp of losing her son just as she finds him!

Jason shoots Peter/Henrik

"GH" spoilers say that when Anna shows up to meet with "Henrik," Jason Morgan is lurking nearby waiting to pounce on Faison's son.

Jason is still unaware that Henrik is Anna's son. As Peter turns to show his face, he's prepared to get rid of Anna. He sees her as a threat and doesn't know she's his mom. Jason thinks Anna is in imminent danger and shoots Peter.

Anna runs to Henrik, who is face down, shot. When she sees it's Peter August, Anna still doesn't put two and two together. She's mystified why the COO of Aurora Media is there. An ambulance is called and the news of Peter's shooting soon spreads at the Nurses Ball. Word reaches Valentin that the man he thinks of a son has been shot and he panics and runs out of the ball!

Griffin tells Anna that Peter is Henrik

"General Hospital" spoilers tease that Valentin and Anna rush to the hospital and meet up with Dr.

Griffin Munro (Matt Cohen) who knows Peter is Henrik, but not the part of Anna being the guy's mom. Peter is in dire straits and has lost a lot of blood from Jason's bullet. Both Valentin and Anna tell Griffin they want to give blood to save Peter.

A worried Griffin breaks down and tells Anna that Peter August is really Cesar's son, Henrik Faison. Griffin also tells Anna that with her blood disease, Polycythemia Vera, she cannot donate blood. Griffin finds it strange that Anna would want to save the monster's son. Now Anna knows the shocking truth and sees she's about to lose the son she wanted so desperately to find.

Anna realizes Peter is her son

"General Hospital" spoilers promise that Anna is stunned at the realization that Peter is Henrik and her son is dying.

Valentin is also desperate and tells Griffin he wants to donate blood and demands he saves Peter by whatever means necessary! Spoilers reveal that Anna has the final piece to the puzzle and concludes that Peter is her son and that Valentin has known about it the whole time.

"GH" spoilers tease that Anna will be enraged at Valentin. There's lots of May Sweeps fireworks and drama as two huge truths come out. Peter August is really Ceasar Faison's son. And Anna Devane is Henrik's biological mother. The drama will continue well into the rest of the year as more truths are exposed and relationships crumble in the fallout of this reveal.

If you see the video clip above, you'll notice "GH" showrunner Frank Valentini says that the Nurses Ball 2018 will be more dangerous than usual. That doesn't bode well for Peter! Check back soon for more "General Hospital" spoilers.
