“General Hospital” spoilers tease that the long-promised return of Anthony Geary as Luke Spencer may be coming for May sweeps. Geary hinted at a return in a talk with ABC Soaps in Depth for the “GH” 55th anniversary special issue. Now it looks like it might really happen. As most soap fans know, the driver behind Geary’s exit as Luke Spencer was his mutual dislike of then-head writer Ron Carlivati. But now that Carlivati has found a new home at "Days of Our Lives," it's a good time for Geary to return for a story arc.

Robert needs rescuing

Last week, "General Hospital" spoilers showed that Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) was in dire straits aboard a private jet, supposedly on WSB business.

It seems that Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) still has ties at the spy organization because he was able to lure Robert away from Port Charles and the chase for Henrik Faison, aka Peter August (Wes Ramsey). Valentin is closely allied with Anna Devane's (Finola Hughes) son but no one knows it. Valentin needs to get rid of Robert.

The question is, will Valentin try and divert Robert or do him serious harm? Robert is trying to push Anna away from saving Henrik, but Valentin doesn't know this. All he does know is that Robert cornered him about the Cassadine logo on the conundrum box that ties Valentin to Henrik/Peter and Cesar Faison (Anders Hove). It seems true that Robert is correct and Valentin handed Anna's son over to Faison.

However, it's also likely that Valentin later regretted that choice and that's why he kept an eye on Henrik.

Luke back to save the day

Longtime watchers will recall "General Hospital" spoilers from years ago when Luke saved Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers) from Valentin.

That was back in 2009 when "GH" was first planning to debut Valentin but that plot was tabled for later. Back then, Luke saved Helena -- who told him that even she was scared of Valentin. Flashbacks have shown that while Valentin was still a stuttering hunchback, Helena mocked him, but later came to regret those actions when he targeted her.

Now Valentin is showing his dangerous side that we haven't seen in a while. "GH" spoilers promise that Luke is outraged that the Cassadine villain drugged and kidnapped Robert, plus Laura Spencer (Genie Francis) is rumored to be back soon and still hates Valentin for "killing" Nikolas Cassadine (Tyler Christopher), although fans know the guy isn't dead because they never found the body. Between concern for Robert and indignation on Laura's behalf, Valentin better watch out -- Luke could be back in May sweeps!

Luke exposes Valentin-Henrik connection

"GH" fans have been waiting for a good storyline for Luke's return and dealing with Faison and the Cassadines is a good one. If Luke is back, as rumored, we can expect him to expose Valentin and his shady ties to Henrik -- and also to expose Peter as Henrik. There are explosive revelations ahead and Luke won't like it when he learns that his close pal Anna gave birth to a Faison offspring. He'll like it less when he learns that Valentin has pretty much been a surrogate dad to the kid.

May sweeps promise that all this blows up and lives will never be the same in Port Charles. Nelle drugs Carly at her baby shower during sweeps and creepy Dr. Bensch drugs and molests Kiki.
