For those who don't know, and have been living under a rock for some time, Laine Hardy was successful during his audition in the "American Idol" show in 2018.

He made it through and Luke Bryan mentioned we may even have a "winner." Laine then got a golden ticket to the Hollywood week where he somehow managed to get through the group session. He had to team up with a bunch of girls and do a Justin Bieber number. He was way outside of his comfort zone but he got through.

It was the solo round where he was sent home. Many fans were upset as "Hardy and Garrett Jacobs of Bossier City, both high school students who auditioned in New Orleans, were judged side by side," during the “Final Judgment” episode, Livingston Parish News reported.
