Anthony Hopkins posted a selfie dance video over the weekend that has gone viral. Fans worldwide are immensely enjoying watching the somewhat frightening but funny selfie share. The 80-year-old iconic actor known for terrifying, award-winning roles like Hannibal Lecter in "The Silence of the Lambs," and other notable films including "Meet Joe Black," "The Elephant Man," and "Bram Stoker's Dracula" is letting social media know that he still likes to have some fun!

Anthony Hopkins' social media sharing is on point

To date after posting the odd dance video, Anthony Hopkins' fans have viewed it more than 5 million times just since Sunday night.

Hopkins captioned the viral video of himself busting a move, "This is what happens when you’re all work and no play." Hopkins is seen wearing a black shirt, and a scary, wild grin.

Celebrity fun takes a new turn

His bouncing around and bulging eyes are just Stephen King nightmarish, Pennywise the clown stuff. It is suggested that since the video was posted the same day as Hopkins' latest gig ("Westworld" Season 2) aired on HBO, perhaps Mr. Hopkins could have been celebrating a tad bit. However, there is some "Westworld" Season 2 spoiler news below, so if you have not watched Season 1 of "Westworld" you may want to look away now.

As previously reported, Anthony Hopkins' character Dr. Ford was shot in the Season 1 finale.

Dr. Ford appears to have been killed. It has been revealed that "Westworld" showrunner, Jonathon Nolan revealed that Hopkins' character did die, but he could pop up in flashback scenes. Nolan realizes that most "Westworld" fans are anxious to find out if Anthony Hopkins will return. He wanted to let them know that, yes, Dr.

Ford died, but not to count Hopkins out of the show just yet.

Hopkins at 80-years-old is just a fun, wild, and crazy guy who still enjoys making people laugh with his care-free spirit. Either way, it is a fun video and a must-see:

Fan reactions have been mixed on this Anthony Hopkins production across social media. One commenter responded, "With all due respect, Sir Anthony, that is THE single most peculiar thing I've seen all day."

Another wrote that they were "scared," "charmed" and "mesmerized" "all at the same time" by Hopkins. Check out the video and let us know your thoughts on Anthony Hopkins' selfie dance-video! Be sure to tune in to HBO to see Anthony Hopkins in the hit HBO series "Westworld."
