Ava Sambora is due for some rest and relaxation after the horrific weekend she just went through watching her mom Heather Locklear be hauled off kicking and screaming all the way to jail.

As previously reported, Heather Locklear was arrested on Sunday for domestic violence charges and three counts of battery against a police officer. Locklear was arrested following a 911 call placed by her brother reporting a violent altercation going down between Locklear and boyfriend Chris Heisser.

Ava, Heather's daughter with former husband and ex-Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora, decided to jet off with her father to Hawaii in an attempt to take her mind off of things.

What does Locklear's future hold?

Unfortunately for Ava Sambora, 20, she was at her mom's during the violent outburst and watched her mom go full-on crazy with her boyfriend Chris. It was reported that Chris had visible marks on his face, especially his nose, where Locklear had bitten him during the argument.

Obviously, seeing something this insane upset Ava very much. So, a trip to Hawaii may be just the right ticket and she will also get to spend some quality time with dad, Richie. Ava Sambora is currently a college student at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles and works part-time as a professional model.

Ava is said to be very close with her rocker dad Richie Sambora and spends as much time with him as possible.

Sadly, Heather's relationship with her daughter is not as good. The Sambora's had already planned this Hawaiian vacation, they just pushed up the date after Heather Locklear's arrest. Locklear is due in court on March 13, and, at this time it is unknown whether the judge may order jail, rehab, or both for Heather. This is not her first run-in with the law.

Locklear has had her fair share of legal issues including domestic violence, drug, and alcohol charges. She has already had rehab treatment six times -- all unsuccessful for the 56-year-old "Dynasty" star.

At this point, the courts could decide to show no mercy to the fallen actress. Locklear's entire family, including her daughter and ex-husband, are incredibly concerned for her and feel that if she doesn't get help now, and successfully recover, the next time could prove to be too late for her. Locklear's boyfriend Chris Heisser is also facing legal ramifications and is due in court in April for DUI charges he garnered just hours after Locklear's arrest.
