Corey Feldman is coming forward amid the ongoing issue of sexual assault in the Film Industry. The controversy stirred up public interest after Harvey Weinstein was exposed for his alleged sexual misconduct earlier this month. Dozens of women, including Celebrities, have already spoken out about the issue in order to share their own experience of abuse with the movie mogul.
In a seven-minute video he dubbed as the "Truth Campaign," the actor and singer revealed his plan to expose a "pedophile ring" that was introduced to him when he was a child star.
"Right off the bat I can name six names," he said. "One of them is still very powerful today."
Actor to expose alleged pedophilia in Hollywood
He went on to say that he has been living in fear since he found out what was happening within the Hollywood industry. Corey Feldman claimed he has been arrested and was almost killed since he revealed his plan to expose the personalities allegedly involved in pedophilia.
The 46-year-old actor said he has been degraded and insulted because of his knowledge of the issue. He, however, is aware that his colleagues are also aware of what is going on in the film industry although most of them are keeping a tight-lip on the problem.
"I'm using this to draw a line in the sand.
To say to the Hollywood community that we are better than this. I know that we can stand together as one. We can be united," he added.
Truth Campaign against sexual abuse in film industry
Corey Feldman then encouraged the public to join him in his endeavor to reveal the truth behind these issues of sexual assault and child abuse in the industry.
To make this possible, the actor asked for monetary donations to fund his film, in which he will reveal his knowledge of the issue.
He also wanted a security and legal team to protect him and his family until the film is completed. The "Lost Boys" alum is hoping to bring change in the Hollywood industry with this initiative.
"Let the truth be told so that the people who have done this damage can come to the consequences they deserve," he continued.
This is not the first time Corey Feldman has talked about his own experience of sexual abuse in the industry. In his memoir, titled "Coreyography," he claimed that he and his late best friend Corey Haim were victims of pedophilia.
The "Busted" actor has already raised over $57,000 since he started the online campaign. All donations will be handed to Corey Feldman regardless of whether or not he reaches his target of $10 million.
