Life hangs in the balance in 'Riverdale'
After talking with Archie and Pop, Jughead begins to believe that the shooting was not a random incident, but that a hit may have been ordered. Whether it was meant for Fred Andrews or even Archie remains to be seen at this point. Season two is going to allow the series to unfold and build in a more extensive way. Nearly doubling the episodes from the first season fans will find intriguing storylines building among all of the "Riverdale" characters.
Things are going to take a big turn for Jughead and his relationship with Betty. Betty is not going to want Jughead to keep up his relationship with the Southside Serpents so this is going to put a strain on their relationship this season.
Especially when a Southside Serpent vixen steps into the picture. Fans are not too happy to hear this because they are all really pulling for "Bughead" romance. Betty Cooper is already a conflicted soul, torn between the good girl cheerleader and her alter ego which we got a glimpse of "Dark Betty."
Which couple's relationship will survive?

Whether Betty goes full-on dark to keep her love going with Jughead later in the season has not been revealed at this time. It is a bit of a Romeo and Juliette/ Grease Sandy and Danny thing could go either way.
Archie and Veronica are also going to continue to grow more serious this season. This could later pose a problem considering Roni's mom and Archie's dad have a past and present.
Cheryl, she is a complicated and scary character. Last season she was a scared kid when it came to her family's control over her, but this drastically changed and she is now taking charge of the Blossom family. We are also excited to learn about what makes Riverdale's Josie and the Pussy Cats and Kevin Keller and Reggie all tick also. We are also going to meet some new characters. Veronica's dad will be heading to Riverdale and will be played by Mark Consuelos, as well as Roni's ex-bf.
