Peter Kraus is finally coming back to "The Bachelor" nation. Rachel Lindsay's runner-up is reportedly joining the upcoming spinoff show, "The Bachelor Winter Games." The news was revealed by the franchise creator himself, Mike Fleiss, on Wednesday.

He left everyone thrilled as he tweeted, "Yes, Peter will be looking for love -- and going for the gold -- on #TheBachelor Winter Games!!!!" Amidst the announcement, the ABC network hasn't given any comment yet.

Nevertheless, Kraus is one of the most exciting stars to look forward to this season.

The spinoff

According to a report from E! News, "The Bachelor Winter Games" is set to be released on February 18, 2018. The show is set to bring back former bachelors and bachelorettes. They will be gathered together in one luxurious resort in Vermont wherein they will compete in an exciting winter-themed athletic game.

Basically, the upcoming spinoff is like exposing "The Bachelor" stars to a real Winter Olympics. While the franchise creator didn't reveal other returning cast members for the show, he added that there will be new faces which viewers should look forward to.

Kraus thanks ABC

Following the announcement of Fleiss, Kraus immediately took to Instagram and shared his heart-warming message to ABC. He added that he felt thankful for the treatment that the network has shown him. In his post, Kraus said, “You treated me with such love and kindness and showed me glimpses of a life I never once dreamed that I could have."

While everyone is excited about his return to "The Bachelor" nation, the reality star revealed that he felt humbled and grateful for another opportunity given to him. Working with "The Bachelor" family has given him an "ear to ear" smile. As he ended his statement, Kraus is thankful for having been blessed with a truly special life.

Social media disappointment

According to a report from People, most of Kraus' followers on the social media were very disappointed when he was not chosen as the next bachelor. A source close to the reality star told People that Kraus was never the first choice of the network. Hence, his journey to "The Bachelor" season with Lindsay ended when he refused to propose to the lady.

Back in August, Fleiss reportedly posted a cryptic message on Twitter about Kraus. He said that there will be no room left for second chances to the star. However, his recent announcement reveals that everything is going well between the two of them.
